Since the dawn of DDO exsistance, WF have dominated. Some of the strongest started out as WF only, and continue to dominate in thier own way. A WF has solo'd/dou'd every raid that has gone live. They are the Alpha, and the Omega.

since the introduction of the store the WF have become an experiment for turbines marketing department to test out the viability of dance emotes in the store. if WF are still selling well after they nerf repair healing down to 50% then turbine will know players are only buying WF for the robot dance. once that is proven expect a whole slew of custom dances to hit the stores!

Since I can not see a serious post in this thread for the OP.

If there is a class/race/ adventurer pack (korthos quest not including Misery's used to be located where IQ now is) in the DDO store it means they were not available at the original launch of the game.

I know WF was released before I joined but the general statement above is true.

Because, even with the nerfs they have, they are still overpowered, as one or two players have said. So they are sold in the store.

Scoff, maybe for 3 classes they are even viable. The rest they are terrible. How many WF clerics, bards, rangers, paladins do you see running around? If this race is so overpowered, where are all the WF druids, fighters, monks and rogues? They are essentially non-existant nowadays.

People without knowledge of the game see a WF sorc or wizard or arti dominating content...well that is mostly the class and the player, not the race. The same player with a fleshie sorc or fleshie palemaster would still be kicking ass...as many do.

It's just that if you want to play a WF, the only real choice is sorc/wiz/arti, as otherwise you are healing via positive energy in one way or another...and the slight benefits to WF don't make up for healing for less.

I guess by your definition humans, halforcs, helves are overpowered, too? How can over half the races be overpowered?

See my join date is 2007 other then wf the general statement holds.
Maybe since they were the selling point then wanting money for the selling point makes sense.

The fallacy in this thread is that there needs to be a reason for what Turbine makes available for free and what it makes available through other means. There does not. It is genuinely a case of, "It is what it is just because that is how it is."

Contrary to popular thought, there does not need to be any reason whatsoever.
