    Default LD and wraps

What abilities are good to spend points on with handwraps?
Just the tactics, boosts, and strength?

I passed through LD, but my wrap-using tactics-dude will end up in GMOF. Tactics, extra action boosts and haste boost are all good twists.

If you have the cleave feats, those related ED abilities are useful. Advancing Blows is fun.

I'm talking about what to take when in ld not twists. I had previously heard the cleave req stuff didn't work with wraps.... And momentum swing now has it at the bottom not for wraps.

well the main thing that wraps do is stun. Which makes that sense weakness skill pretty **** nice. So I'd work toward that.

Also theirs a skill that makes your blows go for improved sunder. (Not sure if it's working or not though) So that's good. And theirs a tier 1 skill that gives +2 x3 points for combat skills dc. Nothing better then that for everything combat related.

Theirs some other things to, not really a whole lot at the top though. If you just scroll over em you'll be able to get a picture of whats the best for wraps, and the others that have no use for them. Which I find to be BS on that bludgeoning one not including em.

As far as destinies go though, I don't think LD really is the right place for wraps. Just to much that doesn't go. Even the moment isn't so grand. But It does have some nice things to pick through twist wise. Currently grinding out my 5 levels in dread to do just that. Heading toward fotw as well.

LD is great for monk DPS...

    My current abilities are:

    Tier 1
Sundering Swings rank 2 - works with wraps
    Tactics rank 3
Extra Action rank 3 - gives me 10 uses between rests

    Tier 2
    Improved Power Attack - meh

    Tier 3
Critical Dmg rank 3 - +6 dmg before multiplier

    Tier 4
Volcano's Edge - for those rare instances when I use a Kama...

    Tier 5
    Advancing Blows
    Devastating Critical

    Tier 6
Masters Blitz - worthless, but I took it to try it out. Time to reset my abilities.

When I reset, I'll add a rank in Sundering Swings, remove Blitz and Volcano, and take 3 ranks in Boost Damage.

Momentum Swing was broken for wraps, I won't try it again until someone else says it's working. The versatility and LD boosts are on different timers.

    Thanks!
Does improved power attack work with wraps?

You should try masters Blitz when soloing on quests with many enemies on short areas like for example elite weapon shipment or parts with many spawns and you'll see how it works.

if you have a good number of boosts and sense weakness combat brute is excellent on a monk, friend of mine is doing nearly 300 a hit pre crit in LD on a stunned mob boosted

AFAIK, here's what doesn't work with wraps from LD: Momentum Swing, Lay Waste, nor any of the weapon-specific abilities (i.e., Volcano's Edge, Lightning Mace, Anvil of Thunder, Pulverizer, Headman's Chop - and yeah, I know some of those aren't for blunt weapons either, just being thorough). Thought Sundering Swing didn't work either, but SensaiRyu said it does, so maybe they fixed it in U16.

I'm currently critting (in earth4 stance) on my dex/wis build monk (14 base str! LMAO!), in LD, for 580-600 on stunned/held mobs. Without Sense Weakness.

Make sure you get Devastating Critical. Its the t*ts.

    Y E O W

elite shipment... primed blitz easily (imp sunder, great cleave, cleave), invoked Blitz and never lost it.

Base dmg averaged around 220 each hit. Saw one or maybe two 2k crits. Most were around 1k. I have pics... No pics of the 2k crits.

Earth IV, ghost wraps, and I have OC and Vorp. Twists were sense weakness, lithe, and brace for impact.

    +Rep for the great suggestion!

    FYI

Sundering Swings bugs out the damage procs on wraps. You'll need to switch to another weapon set then back again after using it.
