so can we get some explanation please cause i want to know what happened and i am sure everyone else would like to know if a dev can please comment it would be extrememly appreciated.. if anyone else agree with me then post as well

My guess
I would guess that the server, for whatever reason DC'd. I am guessing that it wasn't a crash and reboot, but I very well could be wrong. If I remember, Turbine rents space on a server farm, and they , not the Turbine devs could shed more light on the matter.
I still think that the reliability has improved since 2006.

No they use a colocation facility.
