Default Need some input from you other builders. . .

I was in a VoN5-6 raid a few days ago and the raid leader said his character has a standing 56 Reflex Save. He had a Fighter Icon with a ki bar, so I know that he's mostly Fighter with some Monk.

Nellas D'Baerne, my Legend Drow 18 Paladin/2 Monk only has a standing Evasion roll of +47. Ship buffs and GH get her to a 52 Evasion roll. I've seen her Reflex Save as high as 56 and my Monk (Thubin) and Rogue (Anguirel) are wondering if I was too cheap in my investments for their Evasion roll.

How high an Evasion roll can one get with a Fighter Icon with Monk levels?

Guild Chat in Loreseekers indicates that Half Elf Dilletante with Paladin levels and Monk levels might get a standing 56 Evasion roll, but I was hoping for some input, here.

Is the person in question getting increases in reflex saves due to the epic destiny they are in? I've seen people using twists from unlocked destinies as well to increase their reflex save for specific content as well.

I recall getting to 54 on Licoricewhip when he was an 18pally/2 monk. That involved yugo pot use and outside help. Even at that time, tanking in elite TOD, it was overkill.

Technically, he said "standing," which means to me without buffs or with the buffs he had, which seems more likely. If that's the case, then I don't feel I'd cheated myself.

I guess I'm just trying to get a grasp on how a Fighter/Monk/* could get Saves as high as mine.

Given the limited information of "he had fighter and monk levels", there isn't much anyone could really do to tell you how he got that much of a reflex save. Honestly, to give a reasonable response on a build, I think we would need at least a basic class break down, including stats, feats, and destiny in use.

If you twist Tier 1 Draconic Perception from Draconic and Tier 1 Unearthly Reactions form Magister and Tier 2 Lithe from Shadowdancer and then use Sentinel for your main destiny and use Brace for Impact, that is an entirely stacking +20 to Reflex right there. Darn near anyone can get high reflex with a stacking +20.

I can't see people doing it for anything other than very situational things, but it is possible.

Definitely epic destiny static abilities or twists as I see it.

Consider my first lifer, Sawyn, who I recently capped. She only has +2 tomes, and is farming gear before going on a TR cycle. Initial dex was 15 as she only had 32 points to work with.

With a paltry investment and her epic destiny she has a standing dex of 34. Reflex save unbuffed is 38. My guild lead just recently held my hand through the one quest that she couldn't solo in Amrath to unlock yugo pots. So currently she's looking at the ability to go to a self buffed 44 reflex with nowhere near the effort that I spent on Licoricewhip.

The base build isn't as important as the gear/tome/destiny route anymore it seems to me.
