Hi,

Besides the general goodwill we should show towards all other human beings, I think it's a mistake to relate to Turbine employees as if they are our friends.

If you actually know these people, then of course you should treat them as if you have a personal relationship. And even if you don't, of course they should be treated with the same courtesy you would treat any other human being you're dealing with in a business setting.

These forums would be a much better place without the personal attacks on Turbine staff. They are clearly taking a toll, judging by the lack of community engagement and the wordings of some of the more recent posts from certain Devs.

And of course, this works both ways. Just as we should be treating employees of Turbine with courtesy, they should be living up to their obligations to their customers. Specifically, by providing a good quality product which is supported by a decent standard of customer service.

I think a lot of the acidity in the forums would disappear overnight if quality and customer service standards improved. I'm not making an excuse for it, but I get the feeling that much of it is motivated by anger coming from people who really like something and feel it is being taken away from them.

Thanks.
