Default Looking for suggestions on Fatesinger Destinies

    As title says...

I primarily play a WF AM, Necro/Conjuration. I have maxed out the Magister destiny, and about to finish up the Draconic Incarnation destiny. In both cases, there were lots of interesting choices for me and I had little trouble finding ways to spend points in a useful way.

As I start to look at my next destiny, Fatesinger, I am rather underwhelmed by my options. I suspect that there are possibilities lurking, but I am just not seeing them. First off, the thought of losing all the Intelligence is depressing. Also I see no way to increase DC in either of my main schools, as far as I can see. Heck, I'd settle for some way to boost Enchant DCs, but I don't see that either.

About the only bright spot I see is the idea of switching to sonic spells and trying to use some of the synergies I see with that, but it seems like a pretty thin substitute for the power of the other two destinies.

Somebody give me some hope that it is not as bad as it looks...I don't want to have to semi-pike my way through this destiny.

Until tier 3 or so you'll be a level 20 wizard with some bard songs. Not terrible, not not as exciting as DI or Magister. On the other hand, Tier 3 gives you Echoes of the Ancestors: Arcane. Aria is also not bad.

    Will it be awesome? No.

On the other hand, at least you increase your spell pen etc. for it, so you're not getting nothing.

For what it's worth, my sorc is currently in Legendary Dreadnought right now, so by comparison Fatesinger is awesome

I'm in pretty much the same spot as you, and here's what I've found so far:

Dirge has very respectable base damage for a persistent AoE. However, it can't be Maximized and as an AM you don't have a lot of Negative spell power, so it doesn't end up stacking up very well. It also annoyingly will heal enemy undead, unlike other arcane negative abilities.

You do get a thingie that counts as Eschew Materials, so you've got that going for you.

I haven't gotten into Siren's Song yet but it looks pretty promising, although Epic stat damage resistance probably kills it.

And other than that I advise you to use Energy Burst a lot while you still have it. You will miss it.

This. Both in leveling other destinies (capping all of them with the boring ID runs) and leveling up on a new life, I've really missed Energy burst.
Pestilence: Wruntjunior ~ Dragonborn Fire Sorc (finished completionist project) // Wruntarrow ~ HW Archer // Youngwrunt ~ SWF SDK Bardbarian // Wruntstaff ~ Stick Melee (current tr project)

Impossible Demands, one of three quests that can be zerged in 1-3 mins for 20k xp give or take.

Once you get to 25 in xp(can be 23 holding 25 for grouping) there's no more rep decay.

Don't do this, house of dunrobar, and death undone more than once or twice if you want to farm destiny xp. Saving von3 is also a good idea. (saving them all can help you when the lfms alternate, and to reduce the motony if just minimally.)

Edit: and von5 just because it's such a huge chunk of xp, and all the times you might want to do it.
