Festival Glaciation: Where'd You Go?

I had Glaciation on a ring since the ring itself had it to begin with. Historically, you could not add Glaciation to rings from scratch, you could only augment an existing Glaciation on something other than a weapon (i.e. my ring).

Will I be able to get put Glaciation back on my ring this go around?

A bug in Update 16 caused this item effect to delete itself from items. We've taken steps to ensure that a similar bug can't happen again.

I've spoken to our In-Game Support team lead, and if you submit an In-Game Support help ticket, they should be able to provide a reimbursement package of Festival Glaciation recipes and the number of Motes of Winter required to fully upgrade an item to whichever Glaciation amount you would like to.
You will be able to put Festival Glaciation back on your item when the Risia Ice Games return this winter.
We apologize for the trouble this bug has caused, and hope that you'll enjoy what we have in store for the upcoming Winter events.

Plus, new recipes claim to only work on 'randomly generated weapons', so may not be able to start from some new Glaciation Hat etc. (if Glaciation even appears on new random gen hats/rings etc, I'm not sure)

At least you guys got something back. The reply I got said that my situation was an isolated one and then that was it. I got nothing. I'm not happy about the Risia event anymore for the time I've spent to put glaciation on it last year and the year before!

What did you file the ticket under. I went Gameplay>Items>Bug> ...

Whatever I put in the textbox after Bug would get blanked when I hit submit and it wouldn't submit. If I left it blank it told me to select a category. It had no dropdown menu, it was a blank text box.

What category did you use to get it to actually submit?

Same here. My glorious ring, which my entire build is centered around is at the same state. I worked my butt off during the first games to find a ring to even craft on, and to actually build it. I sent in a ticket about 3 weeks ago and was told...

"we are aware of the issue, hang on to the item"

Took screen shots of the pointless conversation. Still, all that being said, even if I was compensated the correct amount to build the ring back to it's original state, I can't put it on the ring because it doesn't have glaciation on it anymore.

Just admit the bug was intended. Superior glaciation 9 turned into an effect under the new spell power system that was more than you wanted so you broke these on purpose so you could replace it with an inferior version.

I hate playing casters for the most part. The ml8 major ice lore scepter I had worked my a$$ off to make over a few years to upgrade to sup glac 9 was a boon for my casters in their early lives. I logged in and it's broken (intentionally I maintain) and replacement recipe isn't as good.

As soon as this tripe goes live I expect all the items I am currently using with Festival Icy Burst will have their ML increased by 4 and be unusable.

Much in the same way you royally ELFED hundreds of players when you increased the ML of Attack Bonus +4 and Superior Stability.

Do you even want players to enjoy the work you do? Because it seems to me that a lot of the past couple years changes to gear have been more a stick in the eye than a boon to players.

You know what, I was thinking this exact thing after seeing the post saying that the ML of Glaciation items will now scale. It didn't scale before, the spell power on those items was converted correctly when MotU went live (and the ML didn't increase), and it is rather convenient that this bug hit right before the new Risia glaciation rules went into effect.

Actually, Feather stated that Icy Burst will only increase the ML on crafted items, not random gen items. Glaciation will increase ML on all random gen items though (if the glaciation level is high enough).

I just found this thread and am trying to open a ticket as adviced by Feather_of_Sun, my first ever. Whenever I click 'Submit' (bottom left in attached picture) the box at the top clears and nothing else happens. So how to submit a ticket?

Edit: I tried opening a ticket under a different category and that went through. Now hoping to get bits to remake the item.

Edit2: Recieved the recipes and motes necessary to replace the item. Thanks for fine service

I wonder why turbine take so long its been 3 weeks now, resubmitted ticket again, got no reply yet on 1. 3+ weeks, reply is a joke when turbine already admitted it was a bug.

I've asked for a reimbursement and got a reply on it, so far so good.

I did some research and found out that from now on when you craft an item it's ml will change, bummer there.
So I can't use my old major ice lore rod, this made me go on the look out for a new stick to wave around while I cast my nasty cold spells. Boy will it be cold out there!
Found a nice one hander with potency and cold mastery on it, it allready has ml 25 on it so whee hee.



This is what I've ended up with making, as it turn out the old style festival upgrade only goes so far, 78 as seen above. That was the second bummer I've encountered in recreating that Uber Ruyi.

Ok, let's not stop there. It's just another small bumb on the road towards my goal. I know what to do to get the job done. And off I went to the new ice games. Picked up some motes and a new recipe to get things started.

Your ticket must have gotten lost. Just make a new one. My reimbursements on a few characters took 10min to 1 hour I think.

Well that was what i thought after 2+ weeks.
And did a new ticket.

But 0 reply on that eighter so little point doing 3rd or 4th times.
