    Default Modern THF DPS 36pt Builds

    Hey folks, I've recently returned from a 1 year haitus (from around the time Cannith crafting first showed up) and I'm looking for some modern THF DPS builds for TR purposes that take advantage of the latest game mechanics.

    Yes I realize that there is significant sentiment of "don't bother to TR" but that is what I want to do. I've seen some builds but I think they might be outdated which is why I'm asking.

    I'm a Premium player and own a lot of content so that will make this request somewhat interesting. I loved my WF Barb but WF are sad now... really going to miss my awesome accumulated Docents.

    Goals

    • Paladin & Fighter qualifying lives
    • THF DPS + Hate Tanking (Disregard AC builds)
    • Power leveling, Soloing with hireling
    • Minor Epic content (namely for tokens to TR - no need to build for LV21+)


    Restrictions

    • Do not own Half-Orc
    • Do not own Half-Elf
    • Do not own Artificer
    • Do not own Druid
    • Substantial bank of THF gear (Greensteel, ESOS, etc) that should be reused
    • Unwilling to Sorc/LR ride a life

    Preferences

    • Human for bonus Feat & Improved Recovery line
    • Lots of healing amp
    • I really love Cleave & Great Cleave (& Supreme Cleave)
    • Minimize "keymashing"
    • Not too exotic build that could make a party apprehensive

    Concerns
    • Fighter Kensai II/III may not be as impressive as FBIII
    • Paladins appear feat-starved
    • A year ago Paladin's weren't well respected - not certain why

    Notes

    • 2 Barbarian past lives
    • Some +2/+3 tomes
    • I don't mind twitching & cleaving instead of glancing blows
    • No experience with evasion
    • Little experience with UMD
    • Open to any alignment where applicable

    I'm willing to entertain splash builds or even arguments for pure builds. Arguments for or against THF-feats, experiences with evasion-builds, modern useful PrEs, what UMD levels are needed for the most useful stuff. I'd also like to hear why I might want to earn/buy Half-Elf and Half-Orc.

    I've played with character building tools but without community knowledge of what is good and worthwhile it is a waste of effort, I also do not know if these tools are up to date either.

    Some builds I've come across that are interesting are: 17 Pal/3 Mnk, 20 Pal, 18 Pal/2 Ftr, 16 Pal/2 Ftr/2 Rog, 12 Ftr/6 Bar/2 Rog

    If you have some gear, i think you will have a lot of fun leveling a paladin with evasion using light armors or robes(but can take 2 fighter levels instead monk if want to go with heavy armor and get a extra feature or stay pure too for the capstone , with 2 less features), i prefer monk splash cause evasion can be very helpful on some quests like taming the flames, etk, sos etc, and can be an opportunity for you to try that for your first time.

    Important skills intimidate, jump, concentration or balance

    Until level 14-15 you can use hotd prestige mainly for heal amp, and then switch to dos stance for tanking/dps, switching some times to kotc for evil outsiders quests, but i recommed dos prestige for most of the higher levels. About features, you can also drop gthf if want to use quicken spell for no interrump of your spells (also can take maximice instead empower healing if want a stronger csw but with more sp cost)

    The dps of a paladin is less than the dps of a kensai or a barb, but with some gear you wiil not see much diference and using the paladin enhancement of divine righteousness + dos stance you will not have problems getting the aggro from others.

    Default Fighter with rogue splash

    Since you said you have eSos, i choose Greatsword as prefered weapon. High int for skills and disable/search, you could go with lower int, but i think 1 point in str or con is usually not that important. Also i would prefer to take Improved trip or Improved sunder, but Kensay requires those weapon focus feats, and trip would require CE, which you said u don't need. Generally looking this is pure DPS with evasion and disable traps skill, decent UMD for self heals and buffs

    Second build is more tankish. Dwarf fighter with rogue spash. Also high enough UMD for self heals/buffs with scrolls and wands. Prefer this one since it is more party animal, and kinda more durable with right gear of course.

But better option if you look only at dps part. Considering that, better go for barbarian if you prefer THF line.

    As for paladin, it is doable with monk or rogue splash, but you will most likely have to drop disable part since u can't keep that high int, with better bonuses on charisma. Feat starved it may be, but for dps part, more than enough.

    Default Panadin with monk splash

    Go with Hunter of the dead while leveling for increased heal amp and drain immunity, switch around lvl 16 when you finish Necro 4, before you go into Vale. You can drop Spring attack for perhaps FoP.
    Lvl 21 take Great Cleave, and lvl24 Overwhelming Critical
