Arcane Augmentation for FvS

I was just wondering if Arcane Augmentation (tier 3 fire in alchemical crafting) does anything for a FvS?

or is it just for wizards and sorcs? Bards?

I was made to understand that arcane augmentation applies to all sor/wiz spells regardless of the class that casts them.

This is correct. Spells such as Nightshield, Haste, and Bestow Curse that are in both classes' spellbooks will be augmented by caster level (+duration and +spell pen). Spells that aren't in the Wizard/Sorcerer spellbook (Focusing Chant, Implosion) can't be augmented in this way.
