There is no reason to have maximum level limits for experience on slayer zones. Not in 2022 at least. I understand why minimums are necessary.

Bought my first dungeon master's guide in 1992. My favourite part of ddo is coffee and slayers
Unlike quests, where you stop getting anything once your character goes too far beyond the quest's level, adventure zones always give you a tiny amount of experience.
There's a pretty dip once you reach a certain level above the zone, but that never entirely removes the experience.
If it acted like quests, it should entirely stop.
However, you could make a point that Epic adventure zones shouldn't penalize players for being higher level, since Epic quests don't.

I think it'd be kind of interesting if slayer zones were scaled and entered in the same way as challenges.
On a break. BRB maybe.
Counterpoint: Yes, they should.
It would not bother me in the least if slayer XP was removed from DDO.
Agree for epic, since there is no overlevel penalty for quests either. Not so much for heroic.
It would bother me. Tremendously. When I can't quest with my family sometimes all I do is toddle around slayers because I enjoy them. I often get both XP and MM XP, its relaxing. I also spend more time in Wilderness zones than quest zones with my daughter. She doesn't seem to enjoy the linearity of quests or quest objectives and seems to prefer adventuring in the "wild" where she can explore in any direction and more or less make her own objectives. And play Hide and seek. If she no longer received slayer XP I'm not sure she would level.

I would imagine it was more of an issue years ago before the game went full zerg aoe all the time anyway...I don't really see a reason why it'd be a problem, nor why you'd want to either
But I really love how slayers provide a different playstyle than questing, a nice change of pace, and still yield decent character progress, without invalidating questing. Sometimes it's fun to just run down from amber temple or spin through orchard annihilating everything for as short or long as you like. I actually wish they'd EXPAND the slayer mechanic with things like daily slayer goals.
I prefer limits. I love slayers and I especially love the little plink sound it makes when the checkbox says you're done.

all epic level slayer zones should not have a max level.
King's Forrest is a great example of a beautiful slayer zone that is too quickly out leveled, leaving little reason to go back once you do out level it.
I also enjoy just roaming a slayer zone when talking with friends, but if we are too spread apart in levels, slayer zones are no longer a option.

I see no need for a level limit on slayer XP. What's the concern here, that people are going to go to 749 in Korthos, 399 in Waterworks, 399 in Cerulian Hills, 1499 in Tangleroot, 1499 in 3BC, then ETR and tick them all over for a total of less XP than running an Eveningstar arena challenge?
The XP isn't worth it unless you already enjoy doing slayers, and the last thing this game needs is to further limit the ways people can enjoy it.
Maximum level should be removed from epic wildernesses. It makes some sense in heroics if you're opposed to power-leveling, but in epics we can already have a level 20 and 29 in the same party getting the same amount of xp. Higher level wildernesses give more xp, that's incentive enough to do them, and penalizing the lower-level character for another character's higher level in some wildernesses (where hardly any leveling is happening anyway) makes no sense. Orchard and Thunderholme are the two big ones where groups go to level, if it's ok for people from all epic levels to get full xp there it should be ok for them to get less, but still full, xp elsewhere.
