Default Turbine: Why wasn't the LFM level range setting bug hotfixed?

If anything in the entire game ever needed a hotfix, this bug does.

We can no longer set the level range we are looking for in the automatic interface, since something in the recent updates broke the boxes you're supposed to use to set them. I reported this bug quite a while ago, as I'm sure many other players have...why is this still broken?

Seriously, guys, this isn't a hard thing to fix.

I even got a screenshot of the problem, and circled the areas that need fixing for you.

It looks like a very simple scripting error...something I could fix myself with a manual for the scripting language if it's not one I know already, the scripting source for the interface, and at most an hour of time.

    Nice necro.

The fix is in patch 16.1, which releases in a matter of days.

Hotfixes take a lot of extra effort on Turbine's part and are reserve for game-breaking issues only. LFM ranges are not game-breaking.

It would be nice if their update process were better/faster, but it isn't.

A "Necro" would be a thread more than one month old, not a current and recent issue.

Learn what terms mean before using them. If a thread is only one or two pages from the front, it is merely a 'Bump" and this isn't even that, since I added more information, mister troll.

Have you tried forming a Shroud raid as a level 17 character lately? 4 hours to set up a raid that would fill in 10 minutes if everyone could see it seems "Game Breaking" to me.

While I wouldn't of called it a necro the rest of his post was essentially correct.

Is it annoying as hell? Yes.
Is it breaking the game? No

If the bug prevented ANY LFM to be formed then you would of seen a hot fix. A it is a simple piece of text, and some careful checking on the part of the group leader, will allow you to form a group with the correct level range desired.

Just write in the accepted level range in the comments section. For people looking for a group to join - untick the little box that says show available or something like that. It is quite simple. Yes it is a bit annoying but far from game breaking. The **** getting stuck in walls bug is far more harmful IMHO.

The other day I was doing the necro 3 quest where you split up and pass gears to each other through the bars - Tormented, I think. I was soloing 1 side and the other 2 went the other. When the mobs spawned my little archon thingy blew a skellie through the ceiling. I could see him only because my archon still targetted him and kept shooting. The archon killed him and the gate opened. Otherwise I could have been hunting the missing mob for ages.

Generally the policy is nothing gets hotfixed unless it provides an unfair advantage in-game.

If the bug provides a disadvantage or neither, then it goes in the queue and gets fixed based on its severity and resources available.

This specific bug provides neither, so its probably waiting in the queue and will get fixed when they get around to it.

I'm tired of idiots joining my pug for
Reign of Madness pack, elite with bravery bonus, Acute Deliruim first, MAX LVL 19
    with lvl21 characters.

Come on, we all know most people don't read LFM descriptions, they just see name of quest and that's all info they can understand.

This should be fixed ASAP. Maybe it's not game breaking, but is annoying, and we don't log in to be annoyed, but to have fun.

I think this would be described as a 1st world problem.

While annoying, its doesnt ruin the game. Id much rather than work on fixing the wall bug. Im sick of being stuck and having already used my /stuck for the day. And Im sure there are plenty of others which are actually game breaking.

However, I was able to click on a DDoor once. That got me out.
