    Default Suggestions for:Ranger 12/Fighter 7/Rogue 1

    After reading more posts, was thinking of stopping Ranger at 12 lvls, still do 1 lvl of Rogue, and the rest in fighter.
    Need help. What is best starting stats distribution for this? What would be the leveling order? Rogue 1st lvl, then Ranger for all 12 lvls, finish with Fighter for last 7 lvls? Is this the best leveling order and why or why not?

    Would be open to recommendations for variations of this multiclass. Want to do mostly Ranger but perhaps more than 12 lvls, would like at least 1 Rogue lvl. I want to be decent with a bow, good at TWF. Will solo mostly while leveling but still want to be viable for parties and eventually higher lvl end game content.

    This is how I build the 12-Ranger / 7-Fighter / 1-Rogue on 28pt.

    Tempest-2, Stalwart-1, and with appropriate gear and party buffs able to manage bravery bonus elite streak traps (and epic traps, of course).

    I stick with THF through level 14 (better to-hit and damage than TWF until iTWF feat granted). Also, the pre-teen levels go by quickly enough that it's more efficient to chase down a couple decent Falchions than twice that many Scimitars (or Khopeshes).

    Level progression designed to supply the class benefits when they will provide the most utility during the leveling process and prevent skill points from becoming bottlenecked.


    Also - ELF! Because Veriden says "Elves are HAWT!" and because they get racial buffs for the rogue functions as well as racial damage mods for Falchion and Scimitar (but mostly because Veriden says they're HAWT!).

    If Human, the rogue functions would suffer, but with the "extra" feat you can pick up Khopesh proficiency. The racial healing amp is nice, as would be Human Versatility for a stacking damage buff. But the Rogue functions would suffer.


    This is not a theory build - I've run this to 20 on four different servers. It does fine solo. Early on it has enough UMD for Invis and Displace scrolls, later enough for Heal scrolls. Doesn't need any raid loot or P2P gear to be effective.
