I'd support allowing VIPs to have an opt in/opt out option.

$10 is kind of nothing so the non-VIP price would likely need to be much higher, say 5000+ TP.

Decent idea (the free for VIP part at least), but think about it, you take a neg level, the game has to check to see which notification to display. I see great lag potential there.

While I understand the objective, hell no. What we would then be saying is that it is okay to create a model where an obnoxious thing is made solely for the purpose of getting us to pay to remove/avoid it.

- Confine the ad to loading screens, or
- allow us to only see an ad once, or
- limit ads to a "hint" link in the existing dialogue boxes.

NO NO NO, I even hate to bump this thread because of it.

This is the type of stuff they "implemented" in the Epic Destinies. Program in limitations(Ad's or Starting sphere) then sell bye passes(Keys or Ad removals) just to get to where the game should have been in the first place. NO

the ads shouldn't even be there for anyone, free or not. Use splash screens for ads, not UI.

WB/Turbine did not embed ads into the UI for nothing.
They are trying to tell us something, mo money hint hint.
If we pay them to disable the ads then everyone is happy.
They get more money, we get no ads.

Ads are annoying, but so is bumping your own thread which also happens to be against the forum rules. So is posting multiple times to increase your post count.
