Some changes making things obsolete?

This past year has been one of change for DDO. These changes have been, imho, for the better except for a few, namely the change from +2 exc to +2 insight. This change presents a nerfing blow to certain items such as Epic Cape of the Roc which was...

+1 exc str
+2 exc str (can stack with all but itself)

the best you could get at the time and is now...

+1 exc str
+2 ins str (doesn't stack with other insight bonuses)

which is not the best. This change wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the possible +3 insight. A +1 exceptional can be obtained through any epic augment slot and there are items that have +3 insight instead of +2 which makes the cape obsolete when trying to acheive max strength.

The Epic Cape of the Roc (as well as others I am sure) has become a second rate hard-to-get item.
