Don't forget the bug report, so they can fix the issue permanently.
But make sure the port it's not being blocked or used on your side, try the netstat scan to see.

Few of my guildies have noticed a problem with chat recently.

I experience this last night - logged in and was able to chat to a guildie. Switch a to few characters, then back to the original character. After a while I noticed I was not able to receive or send to guild chat. Party chat and tells still worked.

A client restart fixed the problem.

This bug start to be really ennoying as it happen often ! (at least a few time per day !)
so I keep switching from 9000 to 9010

Gladly it's easy to fixe, but it's still a real pain as it needs to disconnect, and private tell the party about it...

and no it's not... nothing was turniing on my pc... got stuck on an other bug (the loading screen one...) and had to disconnect...
the worse thing is that if you don't pay attention you don't reallized that you have no chat and people keep on telling you things in party or guild chat and you miss it all.

I noticed the other day that the chat problems seem to be 100% coincident with the Friends list getting blacked out, so that helps quickly and reliably identify when you have the problem at least.
