So, in conclusion I say this should really kick butt. With 100% off hand attacks made, you’ll always hit twice for 1 sequence. So, with Double Strike ranging from 5%-24.5%, you should be able to hit not twice, but three times as often, sometimes even four. With that alchemical weapons and pally ED, your weapons become masters of imbuedness. If you get a bonus from an arti or one of your ranger spells, make sure it boosts your plus or W ( i.g. magic fang/enhant weapons or deadly weapons). With the added slaying effect on your off hand, you may want to switch that GS tier three necro to something with wounding. MUST BE USING LONGSWORDS FOR WIND STANCE. Wind stance here gives soooooooooo much it is just hard to give up. Stats are all finalzed but skills aren’t. all weapons are accurate with the pally ED. Dodge should hover around 15-25. Do NOT worry about DR, unless it is 40+ your average slashing damage should be
89/+89/+104/+119, all multiplided by 2 since your off hand proc is 100%. Even with FULL gear, not many other builds can achieve this amount of dps. (ex. Fighter 2 handed, barb 2 handed, monk, rogue cant sustain, Arti cant get this high, spell casters melee dps doesn’t count)

Only thing I'm going to say is IMO Wind stance doesn't actually give you that much. With only 2 levels of monk, you only get Lesser wind stance.

    Benefits of lesser wind stance:
    - +2 dex +1 AC, very meh. +1 to reflex save, probably situational
    - +7.5% melee attack speed boost Pretty sure this doesn't stack with haste
    - +2.5% 1/40 of your attacks generate a double strike, I don't think this is worth the loss of better dps weapons
    - -2 con -25 hp at level 25, -1 fort save. The hp loss may or may not be important, depending on end game hp.

Honestly, this depends more on the weapons you have. Got good khopeshes? probably better to use them. Got better longswords then other weapons? Probably should stick to longswords.

About your feat selection, why did you take deflect arrows? ranged attackers usually do less damage then most other sources.

Hm... I just wonder if the second monk lvl is worth it even, because you get the evasion at 9 ranger. There is also a possibility to go like the old Exploiter build (18 ranger/1 monk/1 rogue) or its variation (18 ranger/1 monk/1 fighter).

Also, I might drop CON to 14 to favor INT to 12 at least, especially for an Exploiter. That way you could get Combat Expertise, and later on also Whirlwind Attack, which is very powerful.

Also, about the stance: I think you might want to stay in Fire stance rather than in Wind stance unless you boost up your Doublestrike chance with EDs and items.

Otherwise it looks fine to me. I hope you enjoy it

    EDIT: 200th post

Last time I checked, Tempest off-hand proc chance bonuses did not apply to unarmed attacks.

They have ALWAYS affected and STILL DO affect off-hand attacks while un-armed.

Thanks for all the replies... the DB from wind stance is reall all i care about since i will stay with pally ED and twist from a couple other EDs, The doublestrike will be high and using longswords almost all the time. your hp should be high enough and all stats witht he items are correct, so i think the usefullness of this build would be for just reall, really good dps. i did monk 2 for the extra feat, even though ranged attacks dont do much damage their element damage, which almost all of the have, is annoying to rebuff when facing casters. i guess you could replace it for T. ness or something else... wind stance with the new Evengningstar set will add 6% DB which is pretty high (but only for lijke 10 sec.) The pproc of the off-hand will always be at 100%, not using h-wraps, have monk and TR'ed into this! epic build and going to post a couple more... love the feedback!

You are very much correct! but if you look again, youll see that im using LONGSWORDS, so not really switching to handwraps since they kill my dps a little. wind stance is good with the twist since it adds some DB, items(alchem. lvl2 l-sword) gives good base and my vorpal wind effect will help while dps'in boss'. i really enjoy your feedback and would like more questions! wondering if my swords are good or if i should swicth my second hand to something more damage dealing, only using monk favored weapons/longswords or build would be way different. i am taking the 2 monk *again* for the extra martial feat. i think we can get something useful from it since the capstone from ranger is useless for this build!

The offhand proc chance from T1/T2 applies; the doublestrike bonus from T3 does not. But since this is a WSS build, it's a moot point.

Anyway, I'm highly skeptical that the doublestrike bonuses to longswords w/WSS+Wind+GMoF twists would overcome the lousy crit dmg vs. khopeshes (or even scimitars). Apart from that, I'm not sure why you put so many pts into CON & WIS instead of STR; and I don't know why you didn't aim for Overwhelming Crit instead of weaksauce feats like Deflect Arrows and Slicing Blow.

It looks like you have enough gear to be fine in most content anyway; but if you're expecting great DPS vs. similarly geared builds using wraps, khops, etc., I think you'll be disappointed.

I want to add that I think it would be easy to get better base damage with handwraps compared to lootgen longswords. First, drop slicing blow and deflect arrows. move OTWF to where slicing blow was, and replace defect arrows with toughness (I can't find it in your build). Then put the Active past life for monk in at level 3. now you have 1.5[d6] damage, roughly equivalent to longsword damage. Equip an item with reinforced fists (Spider Spun Caparison, Garments of Equilibrium, Antipode, Vestments of the Sun Soul) and you end up with 2d6 vs 1d8 of a longsword. you can then also drop WSS and any prereqs to be able to take better feats.

Lol, THIS IS A WSS BUILD!!!
I am dropping slicing blow for toughness, and taking, instead of deflect arrows, something like t-ness or something...

and I was just pointing out how you can make fists have a better damage then lootgen longswords. The post was meant to show you something, because I don't see you giving your reasoning for using longswords anywhere in here. My thought was that you didn't realize you could up your damage with fists like that, but maybe you should provide more information on why you are using longswords.

O.K. the reason for longswords is, with the pally main ED and grandmaster twist, the longswords become 2d8, maybe more depending on how many pts. put into it. another twist from flower ED would be the running with the wind for some more DB. and yes, longswords have more versatality than wraps and better defense option. this build is about dealing mega damage and being sturd(y)[er] than a monk. since youll be centered, you can use your finishing moves for first line, not much but added elemental damage. If you look an confront any foe, with wraps you hitX1. with longswords you hit X3. usually ranging for 44-100, multioply that by 3, add all the other effects and you see it kicks butt. i guess if you focused into wraps, take a feat, go grandmaster with pally ED twists, you can use Antipode, but at lower lvls only the stonedust ones are good.

Ok! switching slicing blow for two weapon blocking for the what, 1 AC/DR? anyway... toughness for sure now for deflect arrows. epic feats might take epic toughness and another round of toughness, greatly increasing my HP, by at least 150... I think!

Why don't you pick rather Deflect Arrows and Slicing Blow to Combat Expertise and Whirlwind Attack?

I don't understand how you plan on staying centered not using ki weapons.
Farm astral diamonds in game. I've been playing for only a year + a bit but I already have 2 astral diamonds. 3 more and I'll be able to do something with them.
