Known +4 Tome Drop Locations

A friend gave me a +4 unbound STR tome yesterday. Was looted in overgrown on epic elite.
Feel free to post other locations - would love to get a super dooper ****er group together to farm them out.

Welcome to U14. Unbound +4 tomes drop in chest where the base quest level 22 or 23 on the Epic Elite difficulty (quest level 24 or 25). That would include "Overgrowth" (Base level 23. Level 25 on EE). "Overgrown" is not a quest.

Above has been documented on the Wiki for a few months.

From my understanding, the drop rates do not vary amongst the current level 23 quests. Pick your favorite, or the fastest to run, or the one with the most chests. Grind away.

Incorrect, they are only from specific chests. They did this to make it so you can't farm easy to get chests for them.
EG: Impossible Demands can drop them (lvl21), but not its easy to get chests (spider, speitar or end) - only the very hard to get one for saving all the prisoners.

and the wiki does not list such incorrect info, though it does say they are lootgen 29, which is also incorrect.. Devpost just said they are in lvl31 (impossible to get).

Do you have a source on this? Which specific chests? Or is this your opinion based on your experience thus far?

I can't speak to your statement on Impossible Demands. I've not seen a +4 tome drop in a base level 21 quest, regardless of the chest or difficulty. But then, I've not run them on EE that much except for favor.

My personal experience:
I have seen +4's drop on EE on level 22 and 23 quests in side chests and end chests. Not seen one in every chest, obviously, as the drop rate is far too low for that, but I have seen enough of them in side chests to know they are in the loot table for a variety of side chests, some of which are relatively "easy to get".

I got a +4 INT tome in the EE "Deal with the Demon" side chest, easiest one to farm IMO, no kill just use invisible. I used a +2 loot booster that time, not sure if the tome will drop without using it.

loot boosts don't matter for +4 tome drops.

Spiders have tremor sense, so being invisible is pointless. Displacement is also pointless for the same reason.

Bah. I will reiterate what I posted before. There was a +4 strength tome in the Overgrowth optional chest. Look for the LFMs. We can get the quest completed with optionals in 20 minutes or so. It is not terribly difficult just requires everything is nothing (monk) and burst dps characters (Sorc/Ranger/Wiz/Druid).
