Default YourDDO 3.0 is live and waiting!

    Hey DDO'ers,

So the new shiny YourDDO is up and running on the live site. Feel free to stop by and check it out. Feel free to leave any and all constructive feedback here in this thread. Hope everyone enjoys the new shiny. Just follow the link in my sig if you're new to YourDDO.

NOTE: The crafting pages are still having their styling's completely rewritten (well, the entire engine that is used is being updated as well, but that will all be released in a future update. So for now, the crafting pages aren't very shiny. But I'm sure that everyone will greatly appreciate the new UI and functionality that will be present on those pages.

Just checked it out, really like the layout.

Only problem i see is that when you open the monster manual it overlays the other links and you are unable to close it to access the other links. Unless i'm dumb and missing something.

Anyway i really like the new layout +1 to you sir.

ps just did character look up and same problem with overlay and items are being inserted over attributes.

I'm not entirely sure if I follow you here... I just checked both of the pages in the 5 major browsers all currently up to date... What browser and version of browser are you using? And could you be more specific as to what exactly it is that you are seeing? (Maybe include a screenie) I wasn't able to replicate the issue... Thanks.

Doing the same on my character look up as well. I just want to thank you for all the work you've invested into YourDDO. It's an excellent site and I've been using it for awhile now. +1 x 1000

I just looked up the 4 toons in your sig with FF 16.0.2 and they are displaying as intended on my side here. Try to clear out your browser cache and then restart your browser. Like I said in my previous post, I am looking into the cause of this.

But since it's not happening to everyone, it's leading me to believe that it's a caching issue.

Nice new look! Great job on standards compliance using xhtml strict too

FYI: The third tier bonus dropdown for greensteel extends way outside of your design. I noticed it when looking at a Falchion.
Edit: I am using Firefox 16.0.2 on Win 7

The crafting planners are having brand new frameworks (client and server side) being designed as part of the upgrade. The bulk of the site was just reskinned, whereas this is a much more detailed overhaul.

The new UI is going to nearly be an identical match to what you would see at each altar in-game. It's just taking forever to get just right. Especially with my crazy work schedule. But I anticipate another week or 2 until the crafting planners are fully "shiny".

And as for the veeeeeerrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy long options on third tier, those are all going to be changed with the new UI. I didn't want to change too much and accidentally remove vital information about what that particular upgrade does. In the new version, all extra details will be handled with tool-tips rather than insanely long drop-down box options.

    Good catch.

For those of you who are having display issues with the character stats page, could you also either post or PM me the character name and server that this is occurring with? I have yet to be able to reproduce this error with Firefox 16.0.2.

Also, before posting, ensure to clear your browser cache and restart your browser afterwards. Even though I explicitly request browsers not to cache the files, it doesn't mean that they don't. Stranger things have happened.

But rest assured, I am looking into this issue and will update with a fix as soon as I have one working.

Switching to Private Browsing solves the problem.

Deleting the cookies solves the problem as well. I had a single cookie thing that I had to delete.

    FF:
Tools > Options > Privacy tab > remove individual cookies > search for ddocrafting > select cookies and Remove Cookies.

It looks polished, but I thought that on the last version... It's a great tool and I use it often, especially from the in-game browser via adding links to it in MyDDO. I loaded it up in-game and I'm sorry to say, it is a little less shiny there -- the functionality still works, but the in game browser has a fixed/limited resolution that the previous version supported much better.

I realize your intention may not have been for in-game browser use, and I can still use it in-game... but I probably won't use it as often just because it's a little less convenient. It's a great tool, and I've enjoyed using it in the past, I just wish there was a way to use the old version.
