    I don't have 6 characters,
what am I supposed to do?

    Edit:
also, the ones I do have are not at the same level,
so I wouldn't be able to do this for xp

/follow and an autoloot switch are all that's needed.

Actually using the same install and taking advantage of symlinks (Vista, 7) I found the opposite. I even tried it on both SSD and mechanical drives and the loading was faster. Plus you only have to update one copy.

Guild Wars1 had something like this. it started with free to use generic semi story based henchmen you could use to fill out party roles if you felt like not hassling with others.

Then they added Heroes as part of one of the expansions and put a few retro actively into the earlier campaigns. Finally they added as an E Store purchase what they called mercenaries who are your own characters you go register and can delete and change out at anytime. They get no free gear beyond basic generic stuff and thus allows you to make use of the proverbial armory of goodies one tends to pack rat and hoard up in MMO. This combined with veteran anniversary costume skins you can become a group based on the games own story to increase immersion to even greater lvls then on most other MMORPG.

On a side note using a group of heroes in GW is a great bit of fun and solo tactical challenge in the games numerous truly tactical based difficult missions. No game is truly as requiring of skill in that department as GW was.
