Married couple Looking for Guild

Who we are.

We're a married couple with a plethora of toons between us from all levels and walks of life. We have roughly 40 characters between the two of us and usually have a pair that can run together fairly smoothly. We've been playing since the game went Free to Play and are both VIPs with the expansion. We prefer to do one and done's on Elite and often two man, but aren't opposed to bringing guildies or pugging when needed. Between the two of us we've done every raid in the game, with only myself never having completed Abbot or Caught in the Web. We both are capable raid healers and keep a level 20 plus healer for high level raids. We would like to use our other toons when possible as we feel variety is the spice of Dungeons and Dragons.

We're a pretty tight couple although I admit she plays much more than I do. We're both willing to pull our own renown weight and are pretty laid back as far as playing goes as long as we're actually getting something done in the game.

What we're looking for.

We'd like a level 70 or above guild. We've both put more than our fair share of time building up smaller and lower level guilds, and while we're good at it, we'd like something more stable we can contribute to and learn from with a higher level. Some kind of organization would be helpful, perhaps a forum or raid calendar so guild events are known ahead of time. We're happy to jump in on things forming last minute, but knowing ahead of time that a VoN or Shroud is going on and what's needed is helpful so we don't run those toons in a PUG and are stuck on timer.

As far as other members, a small guild is fine, or a large one. We've been in both. What we don't want is lots of drama and would like a little bit of maturity shown to other players and guild members. Just because we're playing a game behind a veil of anonymity doesn't mean we can't be decent to each other. While a challenge is always welcome, we are definitely not permadeath players. We'd like something friendly as we find it's a lot more fun to play with people who enjoy each other's company questing through the insanity.

Problem that I see is that some of your expectations/wants are not found in a lot of guilds at the same time. Small ones with good friends and the like often don't plan much ahead of time, kinda run more an ad hoc schedule, except for occasional special events. Larger ones with higher activity levels tend to have more focus on achievement than interactions from my experience on cross talk in runs and raids.

I am sure lots of people would like to be part of that guild you describe, but it takes some work and that is the part of the equation a lot of gamers choose not to make time for.

Best advice is to keep on running with groups and watching guild names. If you seem to mesh well with some players from certain guilds, ask them if they have openings. I know in the past "good" guilds generally refrained from actively recruiting players from an existing guild (so if you have a guild name over your head you were "off-limits" unless you spoke up). I knew a few people who had bogus self only guilds that readily would drop it when they were offered another option.

Witchies! I know you! And I also really enjoyed running with you and your fellows, and will definitely look you up this evening. I really enjoyed interacting with your guildies, and since in the cold months when my ability to go outside is restricted, enjoying the people around me is important. And the jacuzzi comment makes me laugh and will get me teased by Ashe, since that is the first thing I head to every time we cruise. And am eyeing the back yard to figure out if I can fit one out there...I'm a bubble addict really!

Oh, I know. But you never find out until you try asking. And I don't mind if I don't have a lot of options, versus just one good one. Which i seem to have an oppurtunity that I will be looking into. I believe it never hurts to try, and to be honest in what you hope for. If you don't get it, you lost nothing, and if you do, bonus!

If you guys aren't against off colour jokes and drinking, I'd suggest looking up a guild officer from Lost Legions and running with us a bit to see if you think you'd fit. Amazingly fun guild that can pull its weight in end game stuff.

lol True we do have a couple of couples but we are a mature guild we tend to drink, talk off colored and generally just love to have fun and mock each other. We have a solid raid night that most who have ever participated in still talk about What Yog said is true though if your interested its best to find officers to run with we dont bring in anyone who can't handle our kinda fun its safer that way for us and you all

To the OP and your misses hope I am not derailing your thread with this I just think its kinda ridiculous for someone to post such nonsense. When your happy someone left your guild the last thing you should be doing is posting stuff like that in their thread repeatedly it really looks bad for you and not them.

Don't consider it de-railing at all. In fact that pretty much sums up why this thread was created in the first place. Got a lot to process tonight and I have to be up several hours before the sun even thinks of rising, but I'll try and get caught up on this tomorrow.

for the most part we get along, but we're fairly douchey about it, it works cause deep down we know the other isn't trying to be offensive, they're expecting to get stick given straight back.

Personally I love it, but I'd recommend most people use channels whilst they get to know us.

I'll talk with morf about passing on our channel info if you're interested.
