I don't get a client crash, but the ddo store is dead. Ingame myddo works though, I wonder where the difference is except the store going to another website. Already missed the necropolis sale, I hope it's fixed before anything goes on sale I really want.

Still working with tech support. Ive been really busy last couple days so havent had a ton of attempts fixing it. As of now they suggested reinstalling in a different file path outside of the program files folder such as C:/Games/DDO or something. Apparently the security measures put in place in the program files folder could be conflicting and blocking bits of awesomium or something.

EDIT: Reinstall just finished and failed to do anything. Still getting the crash at the same point right after the load bar. Sent my reply to tech support and am currently waiting on reply. I am still surprised they haven't posted anything here yet though.

    They won't. Don't be surprised.

I am curious, however. What happens if you run as Admin? In Win7, running as admin is different than running with a profile with admin privileges. They are not the same.

As has been posted, the tech support forums are best for player to player assistance but for direct support you need to contact us via http://support.turbine.com

As to this issue we need to gather quite alot of detailed info and that is best done via email.

I would note that in cases where the error details a proxy, you may want to check with your ISP, if you know your system's not directly using a proxy server, it's still possible that as it transits their network it may be passing through one and it may be encountering issues handling the functions.

NOTE: The Customer Support forums are best for Player-to-Player help, for more direct and official support, please submit a ticket to the appropriate team via the form here.

After contacting support, log into your email webpage to add noreply@turbine.com and accountsupport@turbine.com to their "safe senders" list and your contacts list/address book. Be sure to check Spam/Junk Mail folders as well since most email providers do not let external email programs or cell phones download mail flagged this way.

The proxy error is just a symptom of something else, and has nothing to do with proxies . If you have this awesomium problem, my guess is that it will always say that. I know it seems drastic to have to reinstall Windows, but it honestly only took me an hour and done. Every instance I found about this problem online was solved in one of two ways, finding the offending registry error and deleting it or reinstalling Windows (probably because the error couldn't be found).

If you choose to reinstall Windows and don't have Windows disks, see if the computer manufacturer has a partition on the computer where you can just reinstall from.

It is not a proxy issue. As stated earlier in this tread, I am running one machine that is able to connect while my son's machine is not. We are on the same connection with my ISP.

I guess we can cancel our two membership accounts and play something else that works.

Ok so after days of tech support getting nowhere and me not being able to find the registry issue after jalont confirmed that was what it was I broke down and did a windows reinstall. I'm happy to say my client is working flawlessly again (more or less...ddo is never flawless) lol. Anyhow it seems anyone hit with this problem must find the registry issue or do a full clean reinstall of windows. Bit of advice remember to back up your keymap and user pref files in the turbine folder. I didn't and had to rekey my entire client lol.

They did not address this with the new patch. My son is still not able to log in.
