    Default 18 Cleric / 1 Fighter / 1 Wizard

    Hi all,

    for the 2nd life of my Cleric I plan a 18 Cleric / 1 Fighter / 1 Wizard.

    Goals:
    Level up to 20, collect Epic Tokens and TR again
    Get a 2nd Cleric Past Life for the +1 Conjuration DC
    Do some melee damage with 2H martial weapons. I already have them.
    Cast Cometfall while playing in groups
    Get a lot of Features to max caster damage, have a good DC for Cometfall, be able to melee and of course heal at least Hard Shroud runs.

    I have designed this build around my current Items.
    At lv 20 these are the Purple Dragon Knights and Clerics of Amaunator set items.
    From Items I get
    9 STR
    10 CON
    9 WIS
    9 CHA

    That's the reason for uneven stats.
    11 INT is to cast Wizard spells without using an INT item

    Will this build work for me?
    Any suggestions?
    When to take the Wizard Level?
    How to use skill points? I put them into Concentration, Balynce, some into Jump and 1 into Diplomacy.

    Not sure why that's an advantage, but why don't you just pop a Fox's Cunning wand rather than waste two APs on INT?

    If you're taking the fighter level just for weapon proficiency, you can skip it.

    One of the only useful buffs you'll get out of that Wizard level is Master's Touch.

    Fighter is for weapon proficiency, the free Fighter Feature, Fighter Haste Boost I and Fighter Toughness I.
    I'm not sure which Fighter bonus feature to use. All my weapons have Keen or Impact. Therefore I don't need the Improved critical feature. I will start with Power Attack and switch if I don't hit.

    I will think about the Fighter again and maybe I will drop the Fighter level.

    You are true, to use a pot, wand or scroll is much better than wasting 2 APs.

    Yes, the extra feature is what I'm looking for. According to ddowiki Force I is a level 2 enhancement

    Good to know that. It works well on my lv 7 test toon.
    Is that a bug or does it work as intended?
    Are there more enhancements, which work like Force?

    I have a couple guildys with that same Level split 18 cleric/1wiz/1 fighter and it works out well.

    1 fighter also gives Tower shield proficiency allowing you to get the PRR, when combined with shield mastery etc. its a good thing to have.

    Take that 1 point in Diplomacy and put it into tumble. A 1 diplo even after all your bonuses isn't going to do anything for you.

    Id also change your Conjuration focus to Evocation focus as your rolling around with a lower spell pen your gonna want to take advantage of your blade barriers even more. Or another good option would be for Shield Mastery.

    I.M.H.O. also I always find it better to take Maximize as soon as possible for nuking red names and just use a great axe on everything else low level. I don't even turn off maximize or empower anymore just run till there's too many mobs to move and then clear the room with Holy Smite (soon to be blade barrier again).

    Go H-elf Fighter dil for proficiency and cleric 20

    The wiz 1 horrifies me. not so much as the 1 fighter... but level 1 wiz = meh

[Elven clerics can take Arcanum I enh which makes up for that lost Spell Pen too.] If anything, ftr splash has lost its luster on a caster cleric now that Shield Mastery has been heavily nerfed in terms of dmg mitigation.

    Ok after reading you I actually changed my position on the fighter... but not so much on the wizard. 1 spell pen... is a serious deal and so are level 9 spell slots. Capstone is very situational. 20 spell power is sweet... I think it depends on what you will use more blade barrier or implosion... in the end it will depend on playstyle and being able to get the most of your toon.

    Elves Arcanum enh is amazing ... but not so much to offset penalties as to improve a decent spell pen... specially if you will at some point run EE content. For Eh and below you can play a 6 wizard 6 sorc 8 cleric lol :P
