For the Auction House

I was wondering if this were possible...

If, and I mean if, in the future you would make it possible to make 'comments' within the auction house, under any item being sold. I mean, I don't want to make a big case out of this. Some people don't know what to auction things at, or they have their own agenda I understand. However, I think having maybe up to perhaps 5 comments under any auction item might help people auction items better.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great the way it is. But if you were to revamp it to be somewhat closer to a 'facebook' type of system (of course limiting it to 5 commends, anymore and the point is lost) people are going to catch on faster about how to sell/buy certain things and waste a lot less time trying to do it.

For example, lets says I have an item of 75% fortication on lets say, a ring. Lets say I try to sell it for 75k. (Which is rediculous.) My suggestion is to allow up to 5 comments under that item that is being sold. Kind of like a "Kelly Bluebook" people would be allowed to speak their mind on what that item is truly worth. Either way it gives the seller a clue, and buyers a few less headaches.

It doesn't happen often I'd say, but it would help keep things a little more level in terms of the question "Did I really just pay for that?". Some people know, some people (newer) grunt about it. A learning experience, I know. Either way for buyers/sellers alike I think it would help make things a little more 'on the level' especially when new items are introduced. Like back when crafting was introduced essences were selling for grands amount, not that there's anything wrong with that, at the time.

Just sayin, I would like to have the option to comment on certain items up for auction, at least to give someone a clue about what they're selling, good or bad.

and +1 to this, the trolling there would be incredible and any staff resources used to moderate it would probably be better used as DM's even rather than auction police.

Have seen games with this and doesn't seem to help.
e.g. you may find all items having notes to PM the player for offers.
(thus converting the ah into an ad board, with little left to buy)


I'd prefer other ways to pursue market fairness, one idea is to post offers.
Buyer puts the plat upfront and sellers have a reverse auction on it.

Anyone not wishing to peruse the full listing would just look at the top offer.
Likewise the sellers can use it as reference and post a higher amount if desired.

I have seen this in a game that sells special currency.
You can buy and sell at the top offer or post your own and wait.
