Default A light roleplay, beginner-friendly Sarlona STATIC GROUP is recruiting

A barbarian and a cleric (level 3) are looking for some adventurers to join our ranks. We especially need a rogue.

    Our play style:

    * Leveling only together
    * Light roleplay (staying in character, having a role-play name, a backstory is nice, but optional)
    * Playing slow and finding every trap, secret passage and optional boss in the dungeon
    * Reading and enjoying the story-lines
    * Playing for fun, not to break a new DPS record - beginners are welcome

We come from very different time-zones (Europe and US), so we chose Saturday morning (US pacific time) as our fixed gaming schedule.

I'm interested, I don't have a low level rogue but could roll one up.

Great! Let's wait a few days to see if anybody else wants to join the group and then we can meet online and discuss the details.
You can either get to level 3 on you own, or we can run with you.

As a rogue, you should be able to do traps and locks on hard difficulty (and spot them, since we don't "spoiler" the location of traps even if we remember where they are).
But if you don't want to play a rogue, we could also use a caster.

Our group communication thread is here: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=379010
I wrote a backstory for my character, Gelora, on page 4. Arianrhod's character Cyrean's backstory is on page 5. Then then there are a few roleplay-related posts afterwards.

I think I'd rather play a rogue than a caster, so I will roll one up this week. I shouldn't have a problem getting to level 3 by Saturday on my own. Do you have any rules about twink gear, or should I just make do with what I find?

Well... All of us used the gear we found so far (I don't even have any high level characters to twink mine). So that might be best. But I wouldn't consider it a rule. More like a suggestion. It will stop the game from being too easy for you when compared to us.

You don't need to hurry that much with the leveling. We might not be playing this Saturday yet. (We had a long pause when our rogue left us without saying. I need to see if Arianarhod will be available.)

I started another recruiting thread in the Static Group section and it seems we have someone else who is interested in joining: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php...15#post4735115 He wants to start a 4th level character. I think you could do the same if you didn't want to level from the start.

I wouldn't say no twinking at all...I have got a little stuff passed down to my cleric, it's just not really any better than what we could loot

My thought on the subject is that I'd like to preserve that "first-time through" feel for the new players - so, no spoilers, no rushing, no killing everything before they even get to see it, that sort of thing

And, yes, I can play Saturday. Look forward to meeting you

Well I rolled up a level 1 rogue instead of level 4, figure I might as well just run korthos to level up since I will want the favor from the quests. My toon's name is Thissal. What time Saturday are we meeting up?
