FvS TR what items to farm?

Hi,

I am about to TR into a Favored Soul and was wondering what items were interesting to farm before I do.

Green Steel Items comes to mind, maybe the Sora Kell set too, getting level 16 challenges item with -2 ML crafting to get them to 14 ML?

Anything else, named items especially?

Greensteel ConOpp HP Items (For me these are often googles or gloves) are great for any caster. I also like making a 3xPos SP/Cha skills (UMD)/Raise Dead necklace(Use the SP to buff and swap in the Torc if you have one, good synergy item). A 3xPos Blunt weapon is nice for a lot of content too (you can do HAmp or pure damage depending on play style). A 3xEarth weapon is often quite nice too for a lot of content as few things are acid immune and the Stone Elemental summons can be quite useful in a lot of quests judiciously used of course.

The GH Dragon armors are actually pretty good, depending on how you play your FvS is what you want the heavy caster, defensive or melee sets can all be useful. I know I used the Cavalry plate from the Cove event (I made 8, 12, 16 and 20 sets, as well as the buckler).

Depending on what your focus and playstyle is you can hoard various caster type weapons with healing lore, devotion, brilliance, impulse and or general potency items.

Only other items that come to mind would be a full Abashi set (levels 5-9/10), Sora Kell Set (9-14/15), and some low level Invulnerability, Deathblock/Invulnerability, Lifeshield/Invulnerability armors

You may want to look at some of the Endgame Evoker/FvS gear threads to get an idea of what some folks go for eventually.

first off, make a lvl 1 robe of invulnerability.
at level 5 add lifeshield and put on your abishai set.
at level 7 consider swapping out 2 pieces of abishai for sacred band and sacred helm + striding boots. That way you'll get atleast some devotion even with a DPS weapon equiped.
If you got a lvl 9 superior false life hat from cove, put it on at 9.
For level 11 you should have prepared atleast one tier 3 GS item, I prefer a 150 sp/50sp/100sp/ conc-opp (goggles are a great place to put em), that'll also give you +5 to charisma skills (UMD mainly)
Depending on preferance you might want to consider a GS weapon at 12. a Min2 Longsword or greatsword depending on race works pretty well, but you may also want to consider a stat stick.
If you're going for a shield mastery build (dunno how they perform at the current game, it was very common when I played my fvs life) and possibly Bracers of the glacier at level 13

Some clickies you might want to farm before jumping on the TR train:
Visors of the fleshrender (not at all necesarry on a FvS, but still nice to have)
Planar gird
meh... can't think of anything else...

Or you can do both at once... Mineral II can be crafted with +1 and +2 Wisdom on tiers 2 and 3.

Did they fix sora kell? last I heard it wasnt giving potency.

Blue dragon scale is pretty nice twink gear, much easier to farm now too.

If you can craft +6 bound stat shards, you do not need the Sora Kell set. You can craft better stats on lower ML items. You will need a potency item(staves are everywhere now), devotion item, etc. Thaumaturgy q-staves fill this nicely, and you can get ones with potency/devotion/impulse or radiance all on same item. GS HP/heavy fort, GS Con-Opp(sp version), GS immunity item/deathblock, GS triple pos/raise dead clickie, GS triple air/haste clickie are my go to items. Minos Legens is invaluable if you don't have GS HP/heavy fort. Be sure to craft str, wis, cha, con shards at +2 and higher. Striding, false life of all levels, fortification, feather fall, underwater action, blindness ward, secret door detection all get crafted before I TR any toon.

Pure or multi-class?
FvS is a very diverse class, so it's hard to give advice without more information.

1) What all TRs should farm - Ioun Stones, GS HP/SP item (that means clean one of them), at least 1 GS weapon (I love to use the last tier for +2 Con, which is overshadowed at later levels, but awesome TRing... so decide if you'll be replacing it at some point or keeping it endgame, both are acceptable choices), Minos Legens, a Carnifex, a few large bags, Dragontouched or Dragonscale armor (the new dragonscale is much easier to get and pretty darn good, Dragontouched is 'better' but higher ML, and such a pain to get perfect it's almost not worth it even for people planning to TR to completionist. Also, dragonscale 'might' be epic in U17... so getting the 'base' armor could be a smart move).

2) Specific to FvS - Abashi set, super easy. Sora Kell set (maybe two, one normal, one upgraded... but that's probably overkill). About three or four MLs worth of casting equipment as rings/shields/scepters, Radiance,Devotion,Impulse Lores and Power items, as good as you can get them every few levels. I used to say clickies... but clickies just suck at that now. You basically just need to shop the AH for those, so make sure you have lots of plat. Make sure your GS item is a Con Op.

3) A Torc is crazy awesome... but do you really have time to farm 60+ ADQs?

Others have already posted great items (like greensteel/carnifex/abashai/visor of flesh render/ioun stone/etc.) to get for TR, so I'll leave those alone, but I always find these clickies useful on (almost) any TR:

1) Invis Clickie: saves potion usage, great for invis runs, or when you want to suppress your aura. You can find at least 1 use clickies as low as level 5 (possibly lower, but all the ones I have are level 5)

2) Jump Clickie: For obvious reasons.

3) Phiarlan Pendant of Time: 150 Phiarlan favor. Seriously, if I farm only one thing for a TR, this is it.

4) Don't forget to fill up any empty bag spots on consumables (potions of lesser resto/remove disease/curse/blindness/poison/cure serious-yes even on a FvS, spell components and the like). It's nice to do that while you are high level and have a decent discount on them, as well as being able to just go to the bank instead of running all over high heaven buying stuff. If you have Yugo favor, may as well buy some large stacks of those too, useable at level 1.

I am loving the Elfcrafted Plate Armor. (Mithral so it counts as medium)

Only costs 10 relics, ML 10, and looks great too.

Personally, I don't worry about low lvl items as I don't stay at lower lvls that long. My last TR on my cleric, I never had a devotion item, I just used my Blue Scale armor at lvl 14, and still wear it at lvl 25 and didn't worry about devotion or Potency items til 25--however, I heal mostly with scrolls.

Greensteel HP or SP or Concordant op or combination, is one thing I try to have on all divines or casters. But I also find that I don't really need them at lvl 11...these are long term things that I still wear end game. I don't farm stuff that I can't use end game.
