I like it, just like all the new quests. Beautiful and well done!
A big fan of the new area, but linking Journal 7 to a rare that hardly ever appears (only twice for me in about fifteen runs through the High Road) is not a good idea. That rare should show up a lot more often or the journal should be placed in a more accessible area independent of a rare.
I completed al the rares, but did not get the completion reward.
Edit: As noted by others, area is lvl 24, but wilderness compendium and xp awards treat it like it's lvl 18.
Otherwise, sojourn on!

Just started - noticed in the random quest The Two Druids...
Killed the one druid (brother?) but while meleeing down the second, Leif Graves, he wandered out of "range" of the quest and poofed and started back at the starting point with full HP. Went ahead and beat him down again but...
WAI?
EDIT: Combat log showed I killed the second brother, and I could loot the chest, but I did not get XP message, and did not get credit for completing it in my Quest Journal.

is this area really supposed to be level 18 where you need to be level 23 and below to get full xp?
this looks odd, since the area contains level24/25/26 quests on n/h/e.
Area looked great.
Random encounters came at a nice pace.
Easy enough to simply explore & find all the dungeons.
- Did not notice we had any journals to collect until I was completely done with the chain, or even see one.
- Rare werewolf at night had his campfire floating high in the air.
- I liked the rare encounter that led to the minicave area.
- I did not enjoy the druids fight. Too much HP IMO.
- Some of the other rares with common (non-boss) monsters could've used more health.
olganon.org - Remember to play in moderation.
I didn't get xp for fighting the werewolves with the war wizard or for the two part yuanti encounter, although I did get the chests. Found 7 out of the 12 explorers but didn't get credit for two of them - bug reported the specific ones. The spider encounter made me lol
Liked that it had more varied topography - the King's Forest had fewer vistas and felt quite samey, it was good to have views again. Easy enough to get to the quests quickly if that is what you wanted to do, but plenty to explore. Not badly balanced.
Terebinthia, Terebynthia, Tereana, Tereaina, Tereanna, Terebyte, Terechan, Terebinthis
The Hand of the Black Tower, Khyber.
Cupcakes welcomed.
Looks good, rares seemed rare enough. Found a few graphical glitches, but xp seemed very low (perhaps related to the level 18 thing that is going on, so its about the same as vale).
I think this is a more soloable open area than the kings Forest, Underdark or Demon Web, which is a good thing. I like variety and some easy and fun xp, while waiting for guildies to get their rears in gear!
Magical Rings are well... magical. - Gandalf
Just noted that in my second run of the quests, the main questgiver now gives only level 1 & 2 loot as a reward. No big deal for me since I only take renown, but needs to be corrected.
Fully explored this area.. Well not in the sense i found the journals, they are crazy hard to spot.. but just cleared the map.
Design: 8/10.. I like this one design wise.. Nice and small, not stupidly large and impracticle to get to the quests like the previous areas. So great job on that. Cool mix of enemies as well.
XP: 1/10 - HORRIBLE. Partially due to the 66% penalty to xp due to the fact the level is incorrectly coded at lvl18. (Guys its 24, the entry window correctly lists that, just an obvious bug). But even accounting for the fact I should of gotten 3x the xp, it would still be poor. I mean the encounters at full xp are 800-1500 xp, and most have a ton of hp so take quite a while to take down if your lucky enough to find one. Suggest: 1500-3000 for encounters and journals, fix lvl bug. Make journals easier to spot.
Loot: 7/10 - Eh you usually get commendations in the chest at least it seems. And given the area isnt too big to run around and find chests, its reasonable.
Challenge: -1/10 - Standard problem with all adventuer areas: No difficulty settings = patheticly easy for any veteran players no matter what.
Journals: Impossible to spot. I literrally only found 2 in my entire 2x clearing of the area, and one failed to register. (Closest one off to the right near the river)
(Easy fix: Use those glowing blue icon thingies you use in the forest.. Scrolls are way too hard to see in a big open area like this)
Bugs:
1. This.. Pretty sure this is related to the major graphical glitches in this build in general. (EG: Weapons constantly detach from body. This his weapon is a big wood something, so it goes crazy glitches soon as he trie sto swing, before that he looked fine)
2. Area incorrectly set to lvl18. (should be 24)
3. Some journals dont register or even spawn.
4. Some random encounters dont spawn. (The specific one I had trouble with was always in the same place - closests to lost swap, but on the oposite of the big tree you can go inside of if you exist from the quest).. EG: it popd when i recalled from the quest, but had to go around to get to the coin icon - but nothing was there. Happen with 2 encounters - one listed spider, the other winter wolf. I later found the spider in another location, so its not specifiy to the encoutner type i dont think, but rather the location. (Though the winter wolf one says "fight the winter wolf at night" - and the area never went to night time no matter how long i waited).
5. Severe graphic glitchest when around water (General new bug with current build around water, not specific to this area.. can post SS if neccesary. But basically messes up the whole screen and cuases corrupted/invisible models/textures.

I like this wilderness, more than any other. It has a nice blend and the encounters are at a quick pace that makes it fun. There are of course annoyances such as the reaver, winter werewolf, journal linked to Yuan-ti and such. But I take them in stride. The topography had a slight Oblivion feel to it which was much better than the King's Forest feel. But best of all, there was LIGHT. So much easier to explore at night.
Yeah I agree. This is one of my favorite exploration zones. It's not too big, not too small. The landscape is beautiful. There are a lot of encounters and most of them are fun. Though the XP is not worth it. On the other hand, i like that comms drop in the chests. Also, I kinda like how some of the scrolls take some effort to get to.
