    Default Crafting on Toven's Hammer

I put a +4 attack shard on a Lucid Dreams, and went to do the same on a Toven's Hammer, and was denied as it states that it will exceed the crafting level. Both rune arms are Craftable +5, both are Min level 19 to use, I can't see any major difference between the two that would allow the attack shard to go on LD and not TH, unless it has something to do with the "missing parts". Do i need to get the two items and upgrade the hammer to be able to add a +4 attack shard to it? Has anyone successfully added a +4 attack shard to Toven's?

If you did any Eldritch Ritual to the RA you may have to use a +6 enhancement shard or higher to add the attack shard
edit " that is the way it was pre u14 the last time I tried adding to RAs after doing Eldritch Ritual "

The +4 attack shard was changed in a recent patch (I think it was U15) to an enchantment value of +8.

Yep what Giganticus said. I have an old one with Attack Bonus +4 on it, but haven't been able to make another.

    Yes.

    However, it was sometime ago.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

Thanks for the info, it had been some time since i had modified my LD, guess that explains it.

Anyone have any good suggestions on what i could put on their now that would be of any benefit? high end crafting seems very limited to begin with, the +4 to attack was a nice option.

I kinda like alacrity (adds +2 to enchantment, and is a suffic) and efficient metamagics (+2 for most of the tier II shards, +3 for efficient maximize II, and all are prefixes) since they're not on lootgen stuff and pretty rare on named gear as well, especially the ranged alacrity. And technically you could add both...

Does ranged alacrity work with/stack with haste?

    I never remember.

    Thanks,

Nah. But haste is annoying to keep casting on an artificer (actually, I think arti capstone lets you use anything that's not a scroll at caster level 20...so that makes 2 minute hastes, and +5 caster levels even on scrolls for 1 minute...)
