If you take the Barb dily it says "For item use purposes, you count as a level one barbarian in addition to any other classes you possess" - can i assume this means that you can use all Martial weapons?

No, because martial weapons are based on proficiency feat, not class.
It allows you to use items that require barbarian levels. No idea whether there actually are any of those though.
