Come on Tolero. There's a difference between getting a heads up that the price is going to change and discovering that you've decided to charge exorbitants amount of plat to respec buggy trees. This is shameful.

What about the fact that many items in the destinies don't work as advertised? Where do you get off charging players out the wazoo to change out of bugged destinies?

I'd say you broke it, not fixed it. How are people supposed to try different stuff in an ED if they have to spend a months plat on a respec? If you want to prevent people from changing up their destiny before each quest, put a timer on it.

I've only messed with one destiny so far, Exalted Angel. There's a lot of stuff in there that sounds really good and turns out to be complete garbage. While a lot of stuff that sounded like junk turned out to be actually pretty good. How are people supposed to try things out to see if they like them?

At least with spells you can play a cleric or wizard to figure out what spells you like and which ones not to bother with. I had to change my destiny around 6 or 7 times to get to the point I'm finally satisfied with it.

You sure pulled a Turbine on this one.

WAI or not, this seems over the top. As stated above, if the EDs where bug free and reliable, then perhaps resepecing would not be an issue.

Here is an example of a respec that was not due to any bugs, but was just not a compliment to a class:

-Decided to try the Blood and Radiance for the use of Divine Wrath on a RS Cleric.
-Being that the Burst and Aura do NOT contribute to the B&R counters, it was just not reasonable to keep those enhancements, so Respec!

Really and truly, this seems like a marketing scheme to sell looms.

I would petition that Turbine do the right thing and lower the cost of plat to respec.

yeah, no surprises.. the bugs and not working destiny choices that force us to reset the destines are not fixed but the part that empties the pockets of players is fixed.

And it's infinity times the cost of a feat respec at 25 (can you guess? It's free!).

Fixed the Known Issue where the cost of resetting Epic Destinies was being deducted in copper instead of platinum.
Nope, it is not a bug, it was a known issue to actually pay that low amount of money before patch...

Yeah, I mean you can't have people having fun trying out new builds now can we? Nope we have to punish them for trying out stuff or not knowing what is working or what bug will be declared WAI after a text "fix"...

It should be pretty cheap to re-spec destinies, not an arm and a leg.

That price is insane. The most I would ever dream it would be would be less than a third of that. I guess they want you to buy the thing in the store.

And improved power attack doesn't work?? Arrrgh. Is it bugged?

See, what the OP is failing to realize, investigate, or post valuable information is that the cost of a ED reset has more factors to it.

Now you can go with this badly informed rant and doom post or you can go look yourself at the cost of resetting YOUR Destiny.

    It's not 150k.

    Mine were 19-22k.

Go look at your reset cost yourself.

Character 1: about 250k total to reset all destinies.

Character 2: total of about 800k

    Character 3: 180k total..

And yes, each of those has sofar reset each destiny atleast once due to bugs some more than once. Thus at current prices I would estimate total cost of 2-3 million plat to do the same number again.

DDO, the game where you need plat exploits just to pay to get rid of other bugs..

Why isn't the cost comparable to reseting your enhancement Action Points?
