Default CE EE Raid night ruined by lag

So we set out to hit some EEs tonight for fun and glory. EE DQ1/2 was great, so was EE Von5/6 up until we approached Velah and we got two massive lag spikes, the second of which saw us lose 3 party members. 9 manning eeV6 was ... well, we wiped.

I'm starting to hit a brick wall here.
TR'ing with friends ---> many have left the game
TR'ing with pugs ---> scarcer and lower quality than I've ever seen
Playing at cap on EH ---> already got most gear
Playing at cap on EE ---> unstable game ruins quests

I had a boat load of fun in EE DQ1 with my archer though, competitive for top kills and providing a good share of the CC along with the monk (only a splashed bard for an arcane), alchemical earth bow rocks my world

That eV6 pretty much ruined the night for everyone though.

    Yeah, DQ1 was fun.

Getting thrown off the bridge in VoN6... Not so much.

Yea that was disgusting...I don't really have much else to say other than I probably wont be back on until next week.

We all have stuff we should be doing instead anyway...but I can tell you I won't be spending any more on this game until there is some positive change in my gaming experience, which is basically fixing the atrocious lag and crafting a raid worthy of our time to perfect.

This affected others on the server iirc, hopefully no one else lost so much though.

Hey, wowo, you know what doesn't have lag? Guild Wars 2. I HAD TO SAY IT!

Sorry your guild runs got hit with the lag bat. I can imagine it's difficult to get enough people on to do guild raids to begin with, then to just let it fall apart over something out of your control just isn't fun.

CE is the reason I'm weathering this so far, we've lost maybe 1-2 regular players but still manage 9-10 for raid nights and there's always enough in channel for the last two spots. A few CE/WL joint ventures on other nights keeps us happy.

Although I'd like to see the lag fixed, and I don't like CITW much, I'm keen to do EE. I find EH a bit too hamster on a treadmill and don't need much of anything anyway.

I know this is pollyanish, but I am persuaded we are missing some tricks to make it easier. It can't be that ee takes 2 hours. I still tihnk we're not thinking it through....

I would like to do a "thinking" run through on EN where we try all sorts of different things. Like we know not to aggro the south pennisula at the endfight. Some of us know how to avoid stolen SP by jump-casting heals and invis with no aura. There's tricks. In Reclaiming the Rift jumping off at some point matters/helps. I wonder whether here it would. Or what other creative ideas we can come up with.

It can't be just a brute force slog, I'm hoping.

    Default Dude

This is why you do drunken raids instead. After several shots the lag just blends in with your slower reaction time and you can blame it on the booze.
If the toon is named after a beer 17 of them are mine & 1 more not named after a beer (the black sheep of the family). Beware there are a few beer imposters out there. Unless the toon has been "Banned From All Guilds" it's a fake Beer_Dude. Fake Beer in your group leaves a nasty taste.

What if ... There were a way to prep the area or what if there were ads we could charm that wouldn't rubberband and would help us fight. Or what if, so much of the content being about posion, there were special poison ways to weaken things? What if there were times in the endfight when we want Ana's help, and we therer shouldn't be underestimating her?

There have to be ways to do ee smarter in citw. Whether they are ways by design or by our player base's clever engineering, it is a DDO aesthetic that brute force slog is not the default mode. Before I die at the stake, we should have some creative endgame players run a couple of normals and try all sorts of crazy ideas.

So my theory is: less whining, more thinking. We will all be annoyed if there's a breakthrough that Khyber didn't uncover first.

Edit: my second theory involves prepping using somethings that snowball/cascade like judgment and jumpimg off the edge will the ads stew in it.
