    Default Green Dragons & Poison. . .

    Hey, since Green Dragons now have poison attacks (contrary to 3E rules upon which the game is supposedly based on) does this mean I'm going to start getting abilities that slide, shift and pull enemies as per 4E? I mean, this is pretty clearly the poison breath attack of 4E and not the chlorine gas of earlier editions. Also, I'd like my action points please thank you.

    Or, since it's clearly the inspiration, why not go whole hog and convert to 4E? That would be fine by me.

    I thought that Green Dragons always had chlorine gas breath. I think that 3.5 represented it with acid because that was the closest they could get.

    With so many changes to the base system to fit D&D into an MMO, picking out that one ability of one creature to complain about does seem a bit odd though. How many Green Dragons actually appear in the game.

    Half-elves are 4e-like. Some EDs draw inspiration from 4e paragon paths/epic destinies (and 1e/2e stuff too). I see no reason why DDO should not get some use from the good 4e ideas and reskin it to fit the game. Eg, a second-wind mechanic for pure fighter/barbarians would be awesome.

    This is an MMO and and such it doesn't have to follow an edition. It could grab a handful of goodies from first ed., take THAC0, and then throw in some 4th ed. fun stuff. It doesn't matter what ed. it comes from.

    It's always been a kind of chlorine poisonous gas breath, just different editions have handled how to do it differently.
