Logged in... and nothing.

At approx 12:10 EST, I tried logging in after today's maintenance. All seemed fine.

However, after seeing the typical servers/status blink by, this happens:

Totally blank screen that sits there for about htirty seconds, then reverts back to the standard login screen. Reenter my info, same thing. This happens whenever I try to log in, I've shut down the launcher, restarted my computer, checked my firewall... all seems fine. I just cannot log in after staring at the black square of death.


Help would be awesome.

Okay... well, after letting the aforementioned black screen hang there for a while, it logged me in.

However, given the sudden uptick in Can't Log In posts, I think something may be not quite kosher after the maint.

I also attempted to logon to the DDO servers and have been experiencing the same issues. However, mine either loos back to the username/password screen or comes up with an error box stating "the following web error occurred while trying to access https://gls-auth.ddo.com/GLS.AuthServer/Service.asmx the underlying connection was closed: could not establish secure channel SSL/TLS" I am a VIP customer and I am in a ventrilo server. I know other VIP/premium customers are currently able to logon or have been on and logged off/back on since this started. Looks like a user database or perhaps an auth server is down. I am trying to connect to the Orien Server.

I had logged in earlier, but tried to restart my client cause of lag. Now I can't log back in. Same prob for me with the auth server.

Seems like I can log in after about five or six repeats of the enter password/look at a black box/reenter password when the fields pop back up again/repeat cycle. I cannot log in reliably or consistently. The whole process takes five+ minutes each time.

It's like some kind of mini-game of despair.

yeah same problem here and I have a friend with a premium that can log in and I have a VIP right now but am haveing the exact same issue. I'll try 5/6 times see if that works

Confirming same problem.

1) Login screen, enter my info.
2) Blank black screen appears.
3) Error message states that the "underlying connection was closed".
4) Returns me to login screen.
5) Rinse & repeat 1-4 a random number of times.
6) Eventually, the Login monster (CR 1000) relents and I am victorious. Sarlona, here I come!

Exactly what I'm getting just now, was fine a few days ago when I last played.
