Default Some questions before my 1st TR

I'm about to do my 1st TR.

My character is a half elf Artificer just reached lev 20. Who i'm going to TR into a warforged artficer(I'd really like to be half elf again but i found him too squishy). Build advice/links welcome. I'm thinking about getting 1 or 2 epic levels mostly due to reading about arti's not having their own destiny line. (I have another toon at lev 23 so not really bothered about epic destiny).
My question is. Would it be a good idea if i took some epic destiny? which 1's? My thinking is to aim towards shiradi line and 'pick them up' where i left off with my tr, is that possible/a good idea?

    Now for the silly questions,
Favour, Does this start over at zero and if so do i lose my backpack and bank space i gained from coin lords and kundarak?
My bound to character items, can i use them after i TR?
Just awestruck, whether it be a Dragon flying overhead Stormreach, that glowing character who just zoomed in'n'out of the Pub or that I can drink a Beholder under the table and best of all rescuing Damsels in distress.

    Character. Alivef was 1 x heroic completionist now I need Alchemist (+I have few more heroic pl's) 1 x epic completionist, 1 iconic Shadar Kai x 3. Gnome+Drow x3 racial pl's.

Unfortunately, yes. You'll have to start over with favour and inventory space.

All items in your current inventory (backpack, bags, bank) will end up in a TR cache which is accessed through the bank. You may equip and use any of those as long as you still meet level, race and alignment requirements.

You may refer to the DDOWiki entry on reincarnation for more information.

Hello! TR'ing is loads of fun! It's great to cruise through the lower end content with all of your twink already worked out.

Here is a extensive, and over-the-top checklist that will be helpful for you collecting your thoughts prior to performing your TR: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=355152

As far as Epic Destinies go, yes... it would be a good idea to try and make some work along in your first ED or so. Epic quests, just like heroic quests, are subject to replay XP penalties. It is relatively easy to get the XP to level up one Epic Destiny. However, if you decide later in your character's career that you want to persue all of the EDs, you're going to start finding yourself in a desert of XP replay penalties until you TR again to reset them all. So, if you're even mildly entertaining the idea of completionist, you really ought to try and work on an ED or two each life. Again, they really do not take that long to level up.

As Sebastianosmith stated, your favor does reset. This is a good/bad thing. Because it resets, it will allow you to earn the favor a second time, and accumulate free awarded Tubine Points. This is a little bonus to TR'ing.

Everything in your inventory will be shuffled to your TR cache. There are a number of TR cache "strategies." If you have stuff that you're hanging on to on mules, you can transfer them to your character that you will be TR'ing. Conveniently, these items will be placed into TR cache "cold storage."

Also, if you are collecting potions, rare scrolls, etc., or any other stacking consumable, you can place these in your character's inventory and get them into your TR cache. Once stackables are in your TR cache, you can drag additional collectables into there as well. TR cache is built to be one-way, withdrawl only. However, this does not hold true for a scroll or potion that is already in your cache. Take a scroll of Deadly Weapons or a Mnemonic potion with you. After TR, you can simply drag these things in.

Check Sebastianosmith's link and mine for more TR strategy goodness. Good luck!

Default must stop reading and play :-)

Thankyou for putting my mind at ease. I will fill my bank up with items i will need not the weapon-armour cache it is now. And make sure i fill in some gaps beforehand. Do a planned epic destiny path to finish off later. The thought of all that extra xp(soz multi-lifers) was a bit scary at 1st but with friends guildies items and most importantly newfound knowledge its not.
Now back the game 170k till lev 21.

Nice post Cauthey, basically what I came here to say.

Once stackables are in your TR cache, you can drag additional collectables into there as well. TR cache is built to be one-way, withdrawl only. However, this does not hold true for a scroll or potion that is already in your cache.
Now this I did not know. No way! That's awesome if it works, trying it out tonight.

OP, if I could only bring one twink item with me when I TR, it would be the pendant of time (house P 150 favor reward). It's min level 1, and saves so much time zipping around public places. Fill up your bank and inventory before you TR to take advantage of the extra storage. I also run around and buy buckets of consumables while my haggle score is decent. Get them cheaper, save running to the store all the time.

    Have fun storming the castle

    Default TR'ed finally

I finally made jump to another life. Now i'm a Warforged Artificer. It was just SO difficult making that 1st choice i did it in the end. I'm not a elite player and its taken a fun confusing frustrating laugh a minute 18 months from when i 1st started playing. Thanks loads to my guildies who kept pestering/bribing(only joking) me. Thanks for the links. Too much to 'take in' 1st time round, and i've only got about 20% of the stuff, I'll keep treasure hunting then :-)
Level 4 already, now that was'nt so hard.

Well, you are playing the "best" race for TRing for sure. For your final life, depending on the class you choose, human/helf/horc may be better, but for TR grinding warforged is the champ.
