    The i2049/i2050 instances have been fubar on Orien for at least a year. I have yet to see a dev comment on the numerous threads posted about it.

    Good luck.

    The cancer spread to i96 today :3. But yeah, the lag tracker thread indicates that i2049 to i2052 is affected by it heavily and repeatedly.

    I'm convinced that the Cannith crafting (among other things) is leaky and inefficient code. Since Cannith crafting has been introduced, they have had instance-localized lag/latency. Also since then, they have been making tweaks in an effort to make the crafting transactions more efficient.

    They might be getting *somewhere*, but they sure aren't disclosing anything to us about their progress to the players. There have been some changes in regard to how the bank renders and transfers, and also how the Cannith crafting recipes load up. There's also now a new "chunkiness" when performing crafting disjunctions (breakdowns).

    I also have a theory that there is something to the stacking of the disjunction materials. They will enter your ingredients bag in increments of 10. So, if you buy 300 of them, there is feedback spam showing that 10 have been added to your bag. 10 have been added to your bag. 10, 10, 10... and your client will be effectively worthless until these batch transactions are completed.

    No idea if these theories hold any water, or are actually relevant. I guess rather than sharing these theories on the forums, I should bug them. *IF* I can manage to get the bug reporting tool to work reliably.

    I think turbine needs to up their suggested minimum requirements, I upgraded my computer a while back and while very rarely I see server wide lag, most of the time it is on the users end. I don't believe turbine has ever updated minimum requirements many people play with sub-optimal machines thinking that they should be fine.

    <this old argument>

    I don't have a rinky-dink rig. I see lag. When I see it, it often is experienced by many other folks. Party participants, raid participants, folks in the same zone, folks in other zones making note via UserChat channels.

    While you may be right, updated minimum specs is not the answer to the issues that we are discussing and reporting.

    Please dont start this up in one of my threads - this thread was simply a convenient place to note time/date -and instance info of a party wide issue.

    For what its worth Im very qualified to analyse these issues (BSC hon comps, MCSE, oracle engineer, IEEE certification, I run my own web based bussiness...)

    This was either server wide lag or instance wide lag, posting this thread allowed me to determine if it was server wide, because if it was there would have been many replies saying things like me too.

    Maj malfunction ASKED us to post this info, and pm him it when we had lag of this sort.

    All that being said:
    You are right that the minimum requirements need updating, there are some areas of ddo that do not run with acceptable framerates when playing on a very low spec machine - I only know this because a guildy(and RL mate) of mine had to cope temporarily with a frankenstein machine build from OLD spare parts. DDO ran but newer areas were not at an acceptable frame rate. The pc in question was JUST over minmum specs. Generaly speaking, public instances, raids and large explorer areas have lower frame rates than most 6 man quests.

    If youd care to start a thread suggesting that minimum requirements need adjusting id be happy to contribute.
