Default Looking for 10k star AA 36pt build

Hey, i plan on tring Briscoe once mabar comes and goes, and as he stands he's a AA pure ranger. I've been wanting to play a monk but I also like arcane archers. He would be my first third lifer and although he has some good gear (IE, greensteel and the like) but he wouldn't have epic version of all the best stuff out there.

So what i'd be looking for is a 10k star build that doesn't require all the best gear.

Thanks in advance for any help

PS. will also be my first monk, if that would have anything to do with it.

12monk7fighter/1art and 12monk/6ranger/2fighter are my two favorite AAs, the latter is waay more lose and probably easier to play with not too much gear

12 monk/6 ranger/2 fighter is my favorite Monkcher. However, for low gearing, i rather like 12 ranger/6monk/2 fighter (or 14 ranger/6 monk). 12 ranger/6 monk lets you drop dex down by a whole lot (13 dex versus 19 dex... since combat archery is broke'd at the moment, no need to shoot for 21 dex). Having ranger as main class also works really well for stacking past lives in order to make a better archer TR (+6 to damage is pretty hawt).

Typically my 12 monk monkcher builds Look something like THIS. Lacking any useful past life feats, my feat lineup is usually pretty different.

I usually do PBS(1), WF:Ranged (3), Mental toughness (6), Zen Archery (M7), Stunning Fist (M8), Path of Dark Stuff (M9), Toughness (9), Dodge (M12), Precision (12), Improved Precise Shot (F13), Improved Crit: ranged(F14), GTWF (15), and then there is a lot of wiggle room. Right now I'm leaning towards Imp Crit: bludgeon (18) and either Great Wisdom x2 for epics or Mobility/Spring attack for 4% dodge and minor to-hit while moving bonus.

Obviously, wisdom is your most important stat. Start high, and bump it up as much as you can go. 10k stars can be up 50% of the time with good ki management, and often you'll find a lot of that downtime is between encounters anyway. As such, the 5%-more-average-damage-per-point-of-wisdom-modifier that 10k stars gets is pretty huge. Make sure you can hit a base 19 dex for improved precise shot, and a base 16 con for Earth Stance III (if you can't do this for whatever reason, Water Stance 3 is also pretty good), and then just keep strength at a reasonable level.

Half-Elf is a must. The ability to chain together fighter haste boost I, Human Versitility Damage Boost (I don't go to teir 4 anymore, i jsyt can't get the APs to work out, but II or III is good) and manyshot means youa re an absolute wrecking ball of burst DPS when you need to be. Rogue dillitante, heal amp, fluid stat enhancements and the like make HalfElf even better!

For skill, concentration is your most important skill. Balance is always nice, and a point in tumble is handy. Passed that, you may want to invest in Diplomacy if you like the Shiradi Destiny and wanna see that one all the way to the end.

As for equipment: level 16 Frozen Tunic is a must. tier 1 is perfectly fine, or tier 3 if you wanna wear it at level 14. I like the level 4 frozen tunic as well. For epoc bows, a tier 1 or tier 2 Epic Longbow of Earth is really easy to put together, and is absolutely worth it for epics. Good leveling bows are Bow of the Silver Flame, cannith crafted screaming of bleeding, Bow of Sinew, Unwavering Ardency (Bit harder to get), Triple Positive greensteel (Also harder to get), any DPS greensteel (LitII being probably the best, triple earth also being popular), and a low level paralyzer (Min level 10-12. Paralyzers with improved precise shot let you take the primary CC role in a party at that level). For lootgen, a +1 <somethign good> of <somethign else good> does wonders. Banishing of Pure Good, holy of Disruption, Metalline/True Chaos of Smiting, Wounding of (Something cool. Never been a fan of puncturing on a bow).

For wraps, Vampiric Stunedust Handwraps are probably my favorite from 12 to 20ish. I don't care if they're less DPS than others i could get, they serve as stunners, minor healers, and potential fun proccers. The new wraps from ThreeBarrel Cove look decent for lower levels, and of course Tharaak Wraps are pretty spectacular. In theory, a pair of level 16 wraps from Eveningstar Challenges could also end up being pretty good... I believe Holy with disintegrating and stunning +10 or Wounding might be top of the heap there. At later levels Ivy Wraps or gravewrappings (did i get that name right?) also look fantastic. And, of course, if you can stand to put in the effort, Alchemical handwraps can end up being amazing.

thanks for the feedback guys. i'll take a look at that 12monk/6 ranger/2 fighter. It looks like it will have what i'm looking for. I'll start trying to get some better gear for him soon after looking at that link.
