Permanent Hard unlock store option

I would like Turbine to add a store option to permanently unlock Hard (all servers). Elite unlock would remain only to VIPs (and TR2).
I'd be ok with this as an expensive store item (3,950 TP seems to be reasonable).

Good for me (alt-itis), and should help have more hard LFMs (there are very few these days - usually only Elite and Normal).

Yes TR1 unlocks hard and TR2 unlocks elite and I have a few TR1 on a couple of servers and one TR2.
And there are one time use hard and elite unlocks available.

However here is an opportunity for Turbine to make money without causing angst and making people happy that would find this option very useful. A lot of people have many alts or like trying new builds.

edit: and it probably will help the weak LFM situation as well. Many would be ok dropping from an elite BB to a hard one, where they wouldn't be ok going to normal and break their BB.

I have no opinion either way. I can't think of a reason why this might be good or bad. I do, however, think 3,950 TP is over the top.

I disagree with this, as a side note. I run (and run in) plenty of quests on hard.

Actually if turbine were to offer this I think it makes FAR more sense for them to do it toon by toon.

Unlock Hard Opener for Toon A = 950 TP
Unlock Elite Opener for Toon A = 950 TP

Bundle to open on Hard or Elite for toon A = 1350 TP

Why do it that way? Sure makes that bundle look like a "good deal" you are far more likely to sell many of those than the singles on hard and elite opening.

I would restrict it to a single toon per so that the VIP perk remains not only a good perk but their best one.

All you are doing with the TP expenditures is grabbing something you could have a couple of TR's early so VIP should not be feeling that they have been robbed or snubed in any way.

**Edit** pricing might be better off at what is below. The above I might buy on a single toon, below I would buy on several I am sure, and again this would unlock for a single toon only.

/signed on the camp saying that vip perks shouldn't be exclusive, free things yes, just not exclusive.
Reincarnation is obviously one way, but one that you should override via the store.
The one-use items are plain bad for that purpose.

Not a bad idea if it's kept expensive.

You can get to 20 as a free player
You can TR for free
You can get to 20 again as a free player and open on hard

Cost $0 and a bunch of time grinding favor on multiple servers.

Free/Premium players do not need "perks". They get exactly what they pay for, that's why they're premium.

Also VIP's unlocks are not permanent, once their subscription ends they lose that perk and most others.

No tr once and your good change my mind slightly on this but still against an account wide unlock unless its hugely expensive. or maybe 3k per server

It is ridiculously easy to get Elite and Hard unlocked for free -- even if you do not have a second account with all of the F2P quests set on elite, you can post an LFM asking for an opener and (unless it is a REALLY unpopular quest) you can get one easily. I dont see why folks think it is such a travesty to add a paid item that does the same thing. For that matter, Premium should have the ability to unlock hard on all toons, regardless of TR status.

Nothing wrong with this suggestion.

I'm actually fine with this (don't see a pay to win with regards to this). If people want to spend the money why not, can estimate price of this benefit based upon how long it take to do a single and/or double TR.

I don't see why it should just be a hard unlock. Why not have a more expensive option for elite as well?

They could make the unlock per server like they do with the shared banks.

I think the per toon idea might be good your first price is to high but the second to low

maybe

hard = 750 tp
elite = 750 tp
bundle = 1200 tp or maybe 1000

of course you have to get hard before elite.
