Default I f you could only carry a few weapons, what would they be?

One of the great things about computer games is the ridiculous amount of gear we can carry. I must have more then a dozen swords and even more bows on my ranger.

For the sake of this fun argument, lets say you are restricted to 1 main hand weapon, 1 off hand weapon (if TWF, none if THF) and one ranged weapon. What would you carry?

For my Ranger maybe the Turbulent Epee, the envenomed blade and the bow of the silver flame.

My trusted Mineral II Falchion. It has the greatest range of utility.
That which does not kill you gives you experience points.

    Epic Sword of Shadow.

Epic Antique Greataxe (any augment or none) OR Epic Elemental Greataxe of Fire with Red Augment Crystal of Aligned Planes.

    Triple Positive Maul

At least one of those three weapons is good or great on pretty much every notable foe in the game. Only real exceptions are rakshasa and tough zombies but neither is overly common.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    This.

Every one of my THFers has either the epic antique or epic elemental great ax of fire with heavens light augment. I think the marut in VoN 3 was the only tougher opponent I have ever smacked with either one of these that has resulted in yellow base damage numbers. I dont run abbot much anymore.

I would become a monk so that I could reasonably carry handwraps for every occasion in my backpack. Neatly folded of course. =)

eAntique for my barb - breaks most DRs and I don't have an eSOS.

Antipode in my monk - not best damage, but breaks most DRs (light monk) and does at least 2d6 + 6% doublestrike (4d6 + 6% doublestrike against true neutrals).

Epic destinies does a lot of damage not dependant of the weapon used (sense weakness, tunnel vision, reign, etc), so I don't feel the need to change weapons as much as I used to do.

    mmm on my TWF fighter
    Main Hand: Epic Templar's Retribution
    off hand: Epic Chimera's Fang
both slotted to max the range of DR breaking

Thrown weapon: GS Min II Returning Hammer

    Or
    Main Hand: Min II Khopesh
off hand: Epic Elemental Khopesh of Water

Thrown weapon: GS Min II Returning Hammer

For my THF Warchanter ESOS (at least I would if I had an ESOS, so just an SOS until then)

    and

Thrown weapon: GS Min II Returning Hammer

    On my TWF Rogue
    main hand: Star of Day
    Off hand: Epic envenomed Blade

    Thrown Weapon: Epic Noxious Fang

Default What is wrong with you?!?

One weapon? NO NO NO NO. We must have dozens. Even my wizzy has a half dozen weapon combo's loaded in his hotbar. My fighter has over twenty hotbar combo's. Enless they make a DDO version of the Rod of Lordly Might then I need a full golf bag full of weapons for each and every quest.

On a side note IF I had an ESOS I can see myself using that most of the time. However I would not be using it on Rust Monsters.

If the weapon had to last from lvl 1 -25, I would start with a disjunctured cold iron and craft it along the way.

    Interesting Idea.

Also interesting that you put this topic in Gameplay meaning it would be the Law and not the choice. After all this game is unrealistic in the fact the we can carry 20 weapons and such.

I would use a +6 Flametouched Iron, Wounding, of Bodyfeeder. One.

    Assuming I'm high enough level:

My THF Fighter: +5 Metalline Greataxe of Good Burst
My Wiz: Twilight, Element of Magic
My Rogue: Epic Envenomed Blade, +5 Metalline Shortsword of Good Burst
My Druid: +5 Metalline Scimitar of Good Burst (I would off-hand something, but last I checked druids still get penalties for animal form TWF without the feats. Not sure if it still happens, not sure if bugged or WAI)

    Default Well

All of my items would be masterwork, because that way I wouldn't be annoyed when they get nerfed.

    Masterwork rapier
    Masterwork Maul
Masterwork longbow with +3 Sturdy Adamantine arrows

....and, since I subscribe to how EVERYONE on the forums plays:

4 cure light wounds potions for healing my WF, no healers friend having 1.5k HP rockin no fort needin' Barb with a splash of sorc for magic missile

    If that didn't work...:

    Main Hand: eChimeras
    Off Hand: a halfling
    Ranged: see off hand

    lol some great replies.

For the purpose of this, just for fun, argument. You could upgrade, buy, sell and trade weapons at any time in town, but you would only be able to carry (2 for TWF, 1 THF, plus a ranged weapon) for use.

and I am not sure halflings work well as a thrown weapon, Dwarves, sure, historical data on dwarf tossing and all

    Paladin
Toss up between the Oath Blade or Divine Vengeance

    Cleric
    Staff of the Petitioner

    Favored Soul
Epic Green Blade & Scepter of Healing Devotion 114 and Healing Lore 12%

    Wizard
    Staff of the Necromancer

    Artificer
Silver Slinger or Dust II Heavy Repeater
