    Default Heal Bug NOT addressed?!?

    /facepalm

    Saw the release notes...

A LOT of threads about healing/healing bugs/lack of healers healz healz healz...

And IT"S NOT AN ELFIN PRIORITY ENOUGH TO MAKE THE 15.2 PATCH?

    Poor form...

    Doesn't surprise me.

It isn't a bug, it is a feature. Expect U16 to update the description to say "due to fluctuations in godly powers and magical weaves due to the rift Lolth created, your healing abilities will randomly change. Keep the faith, good healer, your dedication will see your party through dark times."

Bugs do not exist here, except when you don't play a solo build

Come on guys, you know how this works by now, right? The only thing that gets "priority" are things which HELP the players in some way. The Hjealing bug definitely does NOT fall into that category, and thus is relegated to "meh, whenever..." status.

Besides, healing before this bug was just too easy. Where's the fun in being able to reliably predict when the tank was going to need a heal, and how much your heal would hit him for? It certainly took the "challenge" out of the game for me

Is this the "spellpower doesn't apply until you take a swing at the air" bug, or something else?

Yeah, at least that's how I understand it. It's VERY noticeable on my Clerics when I'm running along, hit my aura, and see a "12" or something over my head, then swing my weapon and see it go back to it's more proper "42"

Indeed, it seems the healer's spell power doesn't apply on heals to a target that has changed equipment (unless it's specifically a weapon set) or drank a potion until they either swing/shoot their weapon, or change weapon using a weapon set. The bug doesn't effect healing yourself though, unless you're using the Cleric prestige's Positive Energy Aura.

Just hanging around the Dinghy, keeping aura running near the door for folks who pop up dead, and every time I'd click the severely nerfed Tokala's Belt ardor clicky, the Aura ticks would drop from 29 to 8. Swinging the weapon boosted it back up, but illustrates how screwy it is when clicking a boost to spell power removes all spell power.

They are aware of this bug, and working on it. A couple of different folks (including myself) have heard feedback from them in less than official channels, despite their decision to not acknowledge or address this bug publicly to the community. I imagine that this one is a little bit tricky, and it's taking them a little while to figure it out and fix it correctly.

It is sorely disappointing that they have not addressed this bug publicly on the forums. However, I trust that they are working on it, and will have this bug corrected as soon as they get to the bottom of it and can correct the coding behind it.

    Tested this with a friend.

It seems that the under-healing bug is caused by the healee holding an eternal wand (or any other recharging wand - possibly other items too?).

I would guess that this is related to the artificer wand level upgrades. Somehow the wand level is being applied to the incoming heal?
Casters should be able to multiclass too!

We've got good news on this bug today. It looks like the dev team has made progress in resolving this bug, and if all goes well, a fix for this issue could be in Update 16.

Thank you very much for acknowledging the issue, and for communicating your remediation efforts. This little bit of communication on hot items goes a long way.

Anxiously awaiting the update where I don't have to bark "swing your weapons!!!" at the party!!
