    Default Rainbow elite

I know that for most, if not all of you, this will be a laughable achievement or not one at all. I don't care though. For me, it's HUGE!!!! lol. Okay here it is.....last night, I did NOT die in the spike pit in Rainbow. Now, with my toons' greasy boots affliction, this is a major accomplishment. So yay me!!!!!! lol.

lmao. Congrats. Everytime I run that in a PuG, someone, without fail falls into it.

Just a FYI, if you have any UMD on your char web wands are fairly easy to use and when cast on the pillars they light them up like a christmas tree.

    Thanks.

lol. Yeppers, I do have UMD and was using a web wand. It's never that I couldn't see the pillars. lol. It's always been about falling off the other side of the pillar....**** greasy boots. If only the web would grip me so I didn't fall off that would be awesome.

Default I feel your joy :)

I was SO happy the first time I ran that and DIDN'T fall in the spike pit. Congratulations!

hehe, yeah, it just takes practice and knowing that you can do it is half the battle. You've done it now and it's just a matter of repeating it. I was much the same when I first started, though in my defence I was trying to run DDO with 1 Gig of RAM and Vista...yeah...lagged a lot. :P

    Congrats!

The first time I did that, and the first time I remembered to talk to the Djinni twice BEFORE running out into the desert were among my best moments.

    Default Thanks! :)

@Archangel666 - Knowing you can do it and not getting all weirded out when you're in a full group and you don't want to slow anyone down is probably a HUGE thing. I'm getting there thankfully. And lag has actually caused me to fall off my ship once. lol. But with my jumping issues, or rather landing issues, none of my friends really believe me. lol. I guess I can't blame them.

@ Very cool. I've never had the problem of not talking to him twice to get adq1 bestowed but probably only because my guildie and I used to run it together all the time and each time, he'd remind me to speak to him twice. Now it's just second nature. But I can totally see why that would be one of your best moments!!

Thanks everyone! I know it's not the normal achievement post - I'm not claiming to be all uber, no epic elite solo runs in a small amount of time, etc. But it was pretty **** cool for me and having others give me some kudos instead of ridiculing me is truly awesome. So thanks again!!!

That is nothing, now try to run Servants of the Overlord without falling in the pit trap. Now, this IS an accomplishment. Even falling just once (go or return) is something to brag about.

With a jump and a haste, you only have to make 1 jump. I see a lot of people try and fail it by jumping to the right tall pillar, then trying to stop (and subsequently falling off). If you go for that pillar, just keep running forward. Once you're on top of that pillar, you can just run to the exit. You'll fall down to the far right lower pillar and fall slightly again to solid ground, but you do not need to jump or stop. The other way I've found with lower jump toons is to just walk off the front edge to the near side low pillar, short jump to the center pillar where the trap box is, short jump to the tall pillar, turn towards the exit and just run. Again, no need to jump from the tall pillar, just run off. You won't fall.

Confidence is huge, and once you have it the jump becomes second nature. Unfortunately you have to succeed to get the confidence. Fortunately, you're on your way there and after a couple more successes you'll wonder why you were ever intimidated by it. Grats on your accomplishment!

Whenever I'm in a DQ group, any time anyone joins, I always type either "TTJX2" (talk to Jenny twice) or "8675309." 99% of people understand what I'm on about with the second one at least (I usually only use TTJX2 in guild runs).

I still LMAO from the memory of my second run in there. I remembered the trap, but there was a new guy in the group. We're running down to do the optional and I said "Trap!" Voice comes back "What tr<DING>. Oh."

That actually IS an accomplishment. I cant remember the last time I ran this quest (other than solo) when someone didnt fall in at least one of the pits -- often multiple times. The worst one being, of course the last one with the pillars.

    So grats

My first go at that pit was on my fvs life, died 3-4 times, finally an awesome and patient vet grabbed my stone and carried me across.

After recovering from the embarrassment, I vowed to never let that happen again. Since then I've been a constant jumping idiot when in taverns. Always leaping from table to table. Has made me a master of jumping onto small targets.

That's not an accomplishment the first time.
