The State of PUG's

I wanted to get a discussion going about the state of PUG's on Thelanis. I think we can all enter this conversation by saying the quality of the PUG is at an all time low on the server. Perhaps this is game wide, perhaps it's not.

There was a time, not too long ago, that TR pugs were wide and varied. I could log on and find a group for just about any level of quest farming. Not only would the groups farm effectively, but players were competent, skilled, and didn't require baby sitting.

Now, however, forming a group for a farm usually results in a hot mess. Players join BYOH and run around like chickens with their heads cut off because of lack of preparation. Traps are being blown left and right. People are joining Farms, dying and then peacing out after they've been carried to completion. The LFM's that are up are for level ranges way outside of BB and Streaking.

What's going on? Is there a way to fix this? Are people for the most part isolating themselves to guild runs?

What can we do?

I don't know how you go from there to "The State of PUG's".

PUGs seem to be a little low at the moment yeah, but, well, tbh that doesn't surprise me much since borderlands 2 was released last week... not got it myself, but i know i'll be taking a little while off for Dishonoured & Of Orcs & Men in a couple of weeks.

What times do you play? I see you posted this at 730 est. That is one of the slowest times to play game wide due to not many are on yet from Cst or Pst and Eu is getting off due to it being 1230am.
So try getting a bigger picture of pugs than just the slowest part of the day.

And before f2p it was not unusual to see a pug for the gianthold big 3 with ranges of 9-12 .
This was fun to due because they were challenging and fun. Only sucked if you did not know crucible maze (would take up to an hour just in this part.)

Last note: if you don't like the pugs that are up 1) start or own or 2) solo with hire.
The number of pugs depend on those wanting to run a quest and want other players. So if there is a lack of interest in having others or non guild / channel groups is low you can see the trend.

Posted a LFM for IQ elites tonight in early early morning/late late night. Filled decently quick. By time we finished IQ 1 we had one person drop, two others piled on and made it a full group when i reposted for eye of titan elite.

Ended up doing everything inc DD on elite good runs, pure pugness
