    Default A clash of boosts ........

    I recently TR'd my Ftr16/Pal3/Rog1, I'd decided that I wanted to pick up barbarian past life on this cycle but I have recently got a liking for splashing rogue levels for the trap xp. Looking at barbarian there is only the one prestige enhancement, the requirements for which prevent taking the assassin requirements. Surely it should not matter whether I take barb damage boost or rogue damage boost. The class distinctions were removed for skills, why not for boosts ?

    I'm afraid it matters which class the boost comes from.
    http://ddowiki.com/page/Assassin_enhancements as you can see it says "Rogue Damage Boost II", not just "Damage Boost".
    http://ddowiki.com/page/Frenzied_Berserker_enhancements same deal with Berserker.

    You can't be a frenzied assassin, sorry.
    That which does not kill you gives you experience points.

    (Fighter->Fighter->Fighter->Monk->Monk->Barbarian->Paladin->Ranger)

    As to your general point: that's just how DDO works. Maybe Turbine will make action boosts generic like they did with skill enhs (perhaps with the Enhancement overhaul); maybe they won't. In the meantime, you play the MMO we're stuck with, not the MMO you wish it was.

    For your goal (i.e., rog / barb for barb PL); Assassin I is pretty meh (not worth AP cost IMHO) and Assassin II isn't an option (no barb PL that way). So why worry about it? Just get your barb life outta the way and TR again like a real pro.
