I personally think this is the best DDO has ever been......I think you will find in your autopsy that that you committed DDOicide...wait can you do an autopsy on yourself?![]()

RAGE RAGE RAGE RAGE RAGE
Naw, he was just saying he took that sensitivity class to heart, and is one of those 'huggy' kinda C.O.s.
(j/k DS - tho Mem's posting of it was about "giving hugs")
edit:
Oh, and On Topic: I'd love to see a DDO2. Particularly, if like AC, they keep the old servers running/supported as well.

Funny, I'm having a blast in MotU. I love King's Forest, love the druid class, love prowling around the Underdark (the first time I got attacked by a purple worm I squee'd in glee to the point where my bf had to come see what was going on -- "I'm fighting a purple worm! Lookit! Lookit!"), and enjoy the various MotU quests (gasp!).
To the point that my bf is debating picking it up and springing for some points so he can play with me again.![]()
Sliding mobs have been around as long as there's been CC in the game. It definitely has nothing to do with the physics engine.
For that matter, I really haven't noted any difference. Same old lag, same old everything, good and bad. Maybe Coal Chamber is a bit more annoying, but I fall asleep running that anyway.

From Turbine to SSG, who are the devs anyway? DDO Peeps Tracker
If they made a DDO 2 the first thing they'd do is make it just like every other mmo with the run-up-to-things-stand-still-cycle-hot-keys-for-non-active-swinging thing. And then standardize and limit character customization into a few paths.
I guarantee you that what we love most about the game is precisely what makes it so hard to manage, and given the chance to start over, some guy in a well-tailored suit somewhere is going to say, well to reduce costs and ease management, make it just like the others. There is a tiny percentage of devs that can even understand the goals of DDO development, much less excute them correctly, while everyone else knows and has experience with the WoW model. So that's exactly what you're going to get.
Happy?

Not sure if it is dead but it sure is quiet these days.
Sub is still active but I have not played for days.
I loved the new content but with the epic paths, my toons are all OP.
Last time I played I just ransacked every chest I could with my 3 main toons in the hope of scoring some gear that I do not really need.. I have just run out of things to do and can not see myself TR'ing again any time soon.
LFM seemed dead, nothing to join except the old classics... shroud, EVon, Etides = yawn
The new raid sucks ( just boring, feels like those ridiculous Conan raids with 10000000 mobs )
The great thing with DDO is, if you do get bored, take a break or run another TR through the ringer, and well if you are too OP then go make a Drow barbarian druid, dual wielding dagger charisma build for diplo![]()
Yes, this sounds very much like Atari. They never cared for games, just look at TOEE.
All they cared for was money, not the customer's atisfaction. They weren't even interested in customers feeling so satisfied over a product that hey would buy more from them.
There's a reason why I hate Atari/Infogrames. And THQ doesn't behave much better in some areas.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"
I've always thought that DDO's codebase was missing comments and documentation, this just added to my fear. Seriously, the number of times they've tried to fix something and end up breaking a whole host of other things is what made me think that in the first place.
OP, do you have any idea how many lines of code are necessary to make a simple game, much less a MMO with huge amounts of customization? I don't believe anyone in turbine, nor anyone on this forums, could trace through the code in an attempt to figure it out within a month. I believe it would probably take 1 person who is ridiculously awesome at debugging at least 6 months to get through a decent amount. Also, contrary to popular belief, quantity++ != quality++. Now, if you don't understand that, you have never programmed in C/C++, C#, or java before, and therefore shouldn't be talking.
