Default My Voice Chat Fades Out

Let me start by apologizing if this is covered somewhere else on the forums as i tried a search and did not find the issue that I am having and I am sorry for any grammar and misspelled words i ain't nothin but a redneck ;p. What the deal is that I set up voice and when i talk it seems to fade out to the end and this causes it to be lost for some people. I have tried for a month to get it fixed and not sure what to do anymore. I have tried the mic test and it works for me all the way through but when i try to use the mic on another application it works just fine all the way through.

What kind of mic do you have?

Are you using push-to-talk or auto-talk for your voice chat settings in DDO? My guess is that you're using auto, which can sometimes cause odd issues like the one you describe. If that's the case, I highly recommend doing DDO voice chat with a push-to-talk button assigned (I personally use a spare mouse button or a keyboard button that's easy for me to get to).

I am using push to talk, always have as it saves the grief to others so they dont hear my day to day stuffs. I have fiddled with the settings and still having the issues.

Think it could be a sound card/sound software issue where it is trying to auto equalize?

Y'all East TN folks sure do a good bit of fiddlin'... Maybe a little less Rocky Top after visiting my Dawgs yesterday...

Have you tried testing it with reliable guildies to see when it drops off? Are you drinking local white liquor as you play? I find that I fade out a bit doing that...

well I have drank a bit of 'homemade' wine and yes tried to cut back on the Rocky Top but it is addicting to be running Tempest Spine and have that playing while fighting the boss as for getting a guildie have done that as well as a couple of friends I have done everything from update drivers to fiddling with control panel settings to in world settings now i am having the issue of the screen seeming to dark as well but that is a minor annoyance compared to not having voice capabilities.

*Sorry it takes me so long to answer back but with RL issues, mainly kids seeing me on pc and miraculously wanting to use it, I do not get the chance to use pc much of late*
