Just saw this, very disapointed. Just got back from work and I literally just logged in. This is my 3 hours I get to play, I really hope the game is back up soon.

Believe me, they wouldn't be taking it down if it wasn't important...

    Thumbs down

Thumbs down for Turbine. Hotfix at night? When I'm home and I have just a little time to play?

    It's always night somewhere.

The real problem is the game is a bug ridden mess, and they continue to pile more on.

We were just about to enter shroud when we received the warning... after hours of downtime (whole day for me since I'm living in Europe), it wasn't a really nice move, Turbine.

You hear Turbine? Trying to fix the game = bad move.

    Default rename!

And it was declared on this Tuesday, no Wednesday, evening... that from this day forth... hotfixes shall cease being called hotfixes... and now be known as hot-messes!

I really enjoy this game. Even with all the stuff that's gone down in the past year it's still my fave. However, having to deal with all of the antics of 2012 I think I've earned the right to poke a little fun. Werd.

Look it really comes down to turbine trying to stay ahead of the whole end of the world thing on December 21....which means that as teh end draws nigh we can anticipate more and more hotfixes... I only hope they can hang in there till teh END

I loved how you wanted to misunderstand me

I didn't see the forum thread above, sure it was my fault but still announcing it twenty minutes before the hotflix was disappointing, yet, there still are many bugs they need to fix, but they don't/can't. I would be okay if I knew game will be much better after this downtime, and game was closed almost all day.

    Default service with a smile

What would really help everyone during any and all timeouts is if every half hour or so we could get an ETA on when it might be back up. I dont need it written in stone as we all know things can take longer than expected but it would be great to have SOME idea.

But, but, but.... That would require hard stuffs. Like planning. And communication across multiple media channels. Where have you been for the past two updates? You expectations are so 2011.

Dont misunderstand I realize why the server must be taken down but take for instance Guild Wars, you are able to continue playing your instance and then log out and log in at your convienence though if you dont log out then in everyone that has will be on different servers or instances. Is it due to a different RAID set-up or multiple servers they use and Turbine dosen't.

Some MMORPGs have weekly scheduled 4-hour downtimes when such work is done and players just learn not to want to play at that time.
