Just saw a pug for a shroud, hard, BYOH. Really....BYOH shroud. My response was to post a shroud lfm with the following requirements: hard, no healing of any kind allowed, certain death, nobody welcome.

still waiting for a Shroud LFM which reads: Elite. Bring your own companion and cosmetic bunny hat!
I know it's coming, only a matter of time.
BYOH end game days are here!Yay!

BYOH in Shroud is just stupid.
But I do understand the "link your Harry beater thing"
Deedeeo- 18th life Completionist (12monk/6Ranger/2Artificer) ~ Sonos- 3rd life Artificer (sorc, bard PLs) ~ Tronsector- 3rd Life Wizard
Flavored Soul- 2nd life Sorc(FVS PL). (and umpteen bank toons and experiments) Member of Synergia(lvl100)-Argonessen
That is not a Harry beater, +5 Silver Holyburst of Greater Outsider bane is a Harry beater. Min II are also good, Lit II with arty and an air savant. There might be better DR breakers out there for example from the new raid and good loot gen but have not seen anything that caught my eye...
Nothing at all remotely wrong with a BYOH shroud, so long as some smacktard doesnt join with the specific intent of disregarding the LFM notes (as some of the folks who gripe about BYOH like to "brag" about doing). With the exception of the 2 Harry fights, most folks are pretty much BYOH in there anyway - and even in the Harry fights, if you are any form of ranged toon (that includes all casters and archer-types), you are almost exclusively BYOH even then, since you are not in the melee knot -- the primary focus of the healers in those 2 fights. Given that 1/3 to 1/2 of the party is generally ranged, BYOH groups are not much of a stretch.
Add to that the fact that many divines are still upset over the Heal changes and refuse to heal anything except guild runs, I dont see why this is even remotely surprising.
I have been in more than one BYOH shroud on norm and hard (and on the rare occasion when when I run elite *I* am BYOH even if the rest of the group isnt). They tend to run smoother and faster, as everyone is self-sufficient and familiar with the raid that they simply dont need 1 or 2 toons doing nothing but watching red bars. The downside of course is that it limits the choice of heavy melee toons, as they have a harder time staying alive while still doing the tank/DPS thing.
I dont see ppl complaining about all ranger or all divine or all arcane shrouds. Why should this be any different?

I remember one time seeing 6+ shroud LFM's so I posted one on my level 6 toon. :>)
Shroud.
No gear or armor allowed.
Only weapon the Silver flame club.
Might be comical.
Not all who wander are lost. I am not lost, I am just exploring.
