First off, this is the result of some ideas i've had floating around my head ever since my friends started their Druids, i always thought they were pretty cool classes, but entering mid game content, i've noticed that the Druid is kind-of.....weak, or maybe that's just the way my friends built them or how they play them. I was always fascinated by how great the Reaving Roar was and set out to find a way to combine both TWF with Reaving Roar, but always arrived at a very challanging obstacle to overcome: Balancing all the Attribute Scores would be EXTREMELY difficult without using Tomes (which i'm not against, but i'm not rich either to afford 3 or 4 +2 tomes )

Yesterday, a random question popped into my mind: Does Reaving Roar activate when you kill an enemy using ANY kind of attack? or at least when using a Ranged Attack? My friend told me that it triggered when you used any attack, Melee, Ranged or Spell. With that confirmed, i set out to make a Ranger/Druid (Arcane Archer/Nature Warrior).

My reasoning for going Ranger instead of just Pure Elven Druid (still being able to get the Arcane Archer path) or Druid/Something else: TWF + ITWF + GTWF (which i pick out later) = If needed, i can hop into melee to help out or defend myself. Rapid Shot + Manyshot + Precise Shot seemed like good free feats for an Arcane Archer. Favored Enemy is not groundbreaking, but it helps.

What i'm looking for is the following.

    1)
Feats to take and what order to take them in. I took the requirements for Arcane Archer ASAP, but after that, i just took what felt to be good choices, but i'm not sure if they were the best choices?
I skipped out on Improved Mental Toughness because my spellcasting abilities will be secondary and only to help out, i don't plan to depend on my spells for surviving, but rather to help out

    2)
What would be better to concentrate on? Dex or Wis? I want my Druid spells to be useful, but are they actually useful? I'm thinking of either concentrating on the Buffs/Offensive spells or the Buffs/Healing Spells, but not all of them. Another thought is that by concentrating on Wis and ignoring Dex, i will be making 2 sacrifices, better AB with Bows (if only slightly) and Improved Precision Shot (which i can't get without a base Dex of 21 or higher). But is Improved Precise Shot actually worth going Dex over Wis?

    3)
One thing i'm also considering is More Ranger and less Druid (for Evasion, 3rd Favored Enemy and GTWF (for free) as well as Improved Precise Shot. Though i probably won't be able to get Tempest due to the feat requirements...unless i add in some fighter levels at the end).

    4)
Any other advice on how to improve this build are welcome, if anyone wants to fix me up their own for me to consider, that's also welcome

Reaving roar activates on any type of killl, but it is centered on yourself, so unless you are ranging at very close range it's not going to be helpful.

You also cant use a bow in animal form and cant twf either. So that will leave you with elemental form which you don't get til level 19.

Sounds like you just want a ranger, with 14 levels of blank. So the question is -is a level 6 ranger viable in endgame?

Are you just looking for a past life? maybe do 6 ranger 6 monk 8 druid. At least the ranger and monk would work together, then you only have 8 levels of blank.

I didn't know Reaving Roar was centered on the character itself, so that pretty much makes the idea useless

Back to brainstorming how to best combine Druid's Reaving Roar with TWF/Tempest

Have a look at tygara's Asura thread. If that's not a clever use of Reaving Roar, I don't know what is.

Not if he is taking 6 levels of ranger in there.

You get the heal spell at Druid level 15. That may be worth shooting for.

To setup for Arcane Archer which was the goal of the build.

Looks awesome, but unfortunately i don't think i'm a very fast player to make use of that build's maximum potential.

You can adapt the concept to other classes, although you won't see the insane atk speed of a wind-stance III monk like Asura. Maybe rgr 12 / druid 7 / <splash> 1 (either monk / ftr for extra feat or rogue / arty for UMD) - Tempest II / Nature's Warrior I (just for Reaving Roar, not shapeshifting). The main drawback is that you wind up backloading either your rgr or druid lvls, so you don't hit your full potential until near endgame.

Yeah, I was tinkering with an idea like that
