Default The Walking Dead video game

Just played part 1 (out of 5 - but 4 and 5 haven't been released yet).

It's a zombie game, but so so good.

End of the world scenario... people getting infected, survivors banding together. But the game isn't so much about fighting the zombies (although you do that too!) as interacting with the other survivors.

Lots of conversations, and every choice you make matters. The game and the other survivors constantly change how they react to you based on your choices.

And here's the kicker... You usually only get about 10 seconds to make a choice, so you have to make gut-feel responses... That's the part that really makes this game interesting. And the game makes you make some hard choices.

    Small spoiler alert:

At one point two of the people in the group are being attacked, and you have like 3 seconds to decide who to help. That was awesome, because it was really stressful, and it really felt like an emergency snap decision... And everyone reacts (pretty strongly) to your choice afterwards.

Hey! Thanks for posting that lil review. I have 400 ms points just sitting there waiting for another Skyrim/Mass Effect 3 add on, but I have had my eye on that game for a good bit.

I guess I will DL that and check it out.

    Disclaimer

I love this game, bought the season pass in advance.

Do yourself a favour if you struggle for patience. Especially if you're in Europe. Wait for all 5 episodes to get released because they land about two months apart, 2.5 if you're in Europe.

It does railroad you, don't think your choices are super game defining. But on your first play through you don't notice. I advise playing the entire thing through episodes 1-5, then going back to see what would have happened if you did y instead of x.

    Sounds Cool,
Can we have a link where we can find the game please?

Yeah, I'm already kicking myself for having started it last night... I know I'm going to hate waiting for episode 4 and 5.

    Finished Chapter 2 last night...

If the DDO servers are still down, or you want a short break from a MMO... I highly highly recommend this game...

I currently have some serious regrets over the choices I've made so far, but there's no easy way to go back at this point.
