[flimsy voice]"Kobold remember Waterworks!"
[sounding like Captain Barbossa]"Yarrrrrrr!"
[you hear kobold feet running away swiftly]
By the Devourer's salty trinket! 'Tis the dreaded shoals of game logic! Unship the oars, and pull hard or it's lashes at the mainmast for ye!
(Good luck with the code)
Wait.... could it be.... Upgraded Epic Robe of Shadow.... please please please say it's so....
*crosses fingers for an epic slot/increased Negative spellpower*
Edit: Also wooo no CC... seriously. It's been around more times than any other event, and tears groups from existance.
And while I'm thinking about it. FR has no similar "holiday" in DDO?

Yes, but CC takes more groups off the lfm. Mostly becuase there are a lot of players out there that want one of each item for all 20+ toons. This thought process is exactly WHY I wished events like CC and Mabar were one time deals each year. But CC has been in one year up at least 3+ times (not this year mind you)
Edit: I'd be saying the same thing if Mabar popped up more than once a year. Events like Festivault or Ice Games do far less to the grouping dynamic than CC or Mabar.

Yarr know, I'm not surprised at all. Every time the Crystal Cove event has been on I have been away from the game for one reason or another and missed it. The one time that I was playing when the event was on it was broken and taken down within a day of opening. Now, I'm here, I can play, I was looking forward to actually spending some time in the event... and it's not coming.
Not surprised at all.
And that is exactly why Cove (and maybe other festivals too) should be made permanent. I know that it takes away theri "oh so special" characteristic but I am really annonyed by the fact that it's hard to run some normal quests during any special events (lack of people is one thing but lag is more of a problem in that regard).
And it's annoying that I have to grind out the mats in a couple of days otherwise I will have to wait for a year.
Please repari the cove as soon as possible.
I found it more friendly to my build and playstyle, although things have improved and I will surely give Mabar a try...
Yarrrrr!
You know, they had always in the past given us a "Risia in July" so to speak. We didn't get that, either.
I really hope that they are TOO busy cuting the known issues list IN HALF or better to make up for these missed events.
I'm with those who say Cove should be on the whole time. With teh House C challenges it more or less is on the whole time. The items aren't significantly nicer than the other challenge rewards introduced since cover first appeared... so I say keep it switched on.
It be September 19th all year round in the Cove, ye scurvy curs! Yaaaar!
Mabar... well that is so much more specifically Hallowe'en themed (for a fairly narrow definition of Hallowe'en) that it does properly belong just at the end of October.
As for The Sword Coast holidays... is it me or would Elminster make a perfect Jester/Santa analogue? I mean he turns up out of nowhere with a twinkle in his eye, does something improbable and disappears who-knows-where again. It's kind of his thing...

No. No event should be on all the time, especially a lag-festing-group-killing one like CC. Plus they need more events that don't include,kill-farm-turn-in. *cough*http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVE4cnzUEpI *cough*
I have.
And when I do, we provide documenation and metrics showing the work that must be accomplished, the work that is absolutely critical, and the metrics required to get all tasks done. We present this to management, and management will often grant us additional manpower, so long as our documentation and arguments are sound.
I'd say that the "known issues list" out to be documentation well enough to get some traction on getting manpower to correct bugs.
A shame but I would rather not have it on than having a buggy version with multiple hot fixs as we are trying to play it. So thumbs up for making the right decision.
Really looking forward to the changes. Hoping for a major rework of the dragon chamber.
i really hope that we will see a new event to support Forgotten Realms.
