At first I thought this was a thread discussing killing a dire bear near a drow necromancer. I'm glad that isn't the case and hope I didn't give anyone ideas.

Please don't it goes against everything a druid is , the undead are an afront to nature and to be destroyed so mixing palemaster and druid should not be allowed. it would be like having a lawful good paladin be a pale master, its just not right.

from the seventies hippie druid perspective that may be the case, but D&D druids have come a far way since then and I'm happy for it. Druids aren't just blond elves talking to squirrels in the forest anymore.
There are plenty of blight druids and even good druids can be committed to the undead, a Planar Shepard (pnp prestige, as a side note; why wasn't this released, planar travel and druids released at the same time and no Planar Shepard?) can be committed to preserving the plane of Dolurrh for example. Druids are all about balance not being good.
One of the most fun druids I ever played in pnp was actually a Child of Winter (an Eberron prestige more or less committed to destroying the world) that simply believed that the world was so far out of balance that it needed a complete reboot to function again. He certainly tended more and more against evil the longer the campaign went on but in his mind he really was doing the right thing for the world in the long run (and perceived himself as a good person).
Yet a TWF Paladin Rogue is perfectly fine?
Holy theft and backstabbing batman!
On a different note, I can confirm that druid forms and undead shrouds don't stack (had a wonderful druid/monk/wizard planned out, it was at level 20 with something silly like 4[1d10]*3 17-20 weapon profile, without gear :X)
Great, does this mean they are looking into a master of puppets as well?
(Master of puppets = ARTI/PM/DRUID or any combination of classes/prestige enhancement that has a pet as a native ability.)
Zombies make excellent gardeners, since they fertilize while they work.
And you can't ask for a better scarecrow!
+1.
That is so many levels of awesome!
Celestial Zombie Dire Bears?
Can also trade Celestial for Infernal if one desires such a thing.
Well, you can bring out a skeleton pet, a (druid/artificer) pet, and a summon all out at the same time.
The Skeletons are a proprietary summon different from normal summons, and well, the dogs/wolves have their own hot-bar a'la Hirelings.
So that's three pets already. Since you can't use both Artificer dog and Druid wolf at the same time it can only be 3 (so far for now).
Appropriateness (is that even a word?) aside, I think that if Druids were to be able to benefit from the pale master prestige in any way, they'd need some negative energy spells to go with it, wouldn't they?
The druid spell list is lacking a few elements, especially certain elements.... ;D
So, with a companion, a skelly, a summon, a hireling and the hireling's summon, let's have an ability called "stampede"![]()
+1 for good analysis
So this begs the question: If they rework/add more paths to Druid maybe on one of those Z-bears will work but not all. On another Angelbears could work on some paths; but not all...Surely that would fit somebodies idea of a fun Alt AND keep the 'Game Balance logic' folks happy!
Me? Its a fantasy game so make it weird and wacky sez I!
I'm just glad that stuff is not combining by default. That is how exploits get into a game which to its credit tries to keep a balance in actual play fairly well.
