    Default Class Decision

I need help on making a decision between 3 classes, Ranger, Paladin, and Fighter. Which one should I choose? Can you tell me what are the good and bad things about each of them? I was thinking Ranger, since I never fought in DDO with a bow or crossbow before, but I am also thinking about Paladin or Fighter because I want to be a player who actually GETS to kill enemies (Unlike some spellcasters and specialists, who never get all the kills, because the melee players always get the highest kill count lol). I just want to be able to get some worthwile kills in the game (Not 5 kills every dungeon) like the fighters, barbarians, etc. Which one would you recommend to be the best out of all 3 of them? (Please try not to bring up the spellcasters, they are the only style that i have played since DDO came out). Thanks!

Fighters and Paladins with high kill counts?

    Casters not getting kills?

Don't know what game you're playing, but it's not DDO.

    Ranger has more versatility
    Paladin has more survivability
    Fighter has more kill ability
    and expanding

Rogues have even more kill ability
Monks have a stunning amount of kill ability (pun intended)
    Barbarian Smash!

Since you didn't mention barbs I would go with a tactical Kensai fighter if you are looking for kills. Stunned mobs die very fast. Rangers are good if you want to be more then just DPS, like a Tempest Trapper. Paladins are nice to solo on low levels because of good selfhealing and some nice spells. But they fall a bit behind at the higher levels.
    Please DOOOOOM!!!!!11111!!!!! early and often.

Fighters are the least complicated. You hit things. Unlike most barbarian builds, you hit things in a number of different ways, but you're still always hitting things.

Paladins are inherently more survivable because they have extensive self-healing, better saves, and a PrE that pushes survivability to 11 in Hunter of the Dead. However, it is possible that you will end up simply raiding all the time, in which case melee survivability is pretty meaningless. Paladins also have more buttons to push to get their DPS, plus the buttons they can to push to stay alive, plus the gear gets slightly more complicated.

Rangers are the most complicated of the three. As the name may or may not imply depending on who you ask, rangers are capable of using ranged, but in DDO a ranger should neither always use melee nor always use ranged if they want to maximize their potential. They also have self-healing, though not quite as broad as the paladin's. Additionally they have absolutely worthless summons, which must tickle artificers and druids to no end.

If I may be frank, it sounds like you have only played the early levels of the game. As such, I would recommend a pure fighter for you to learn the (whole) game on, or ideally a pure barb as they are even less complicated and hence even more forgiving. The build with the highest ranged combat up-time is currently a build with at least 6 monk levels, but I really wouldn't recommend it for you as it is a very late bloomer. Take a pure fighter or barb to 20 and I think you will naturally gain a better feel for everything.

...things hit you? In a number of different ways? Yes, but I'm not sure what you're getting at.
